Good on ya!
only two managers in our league can say that

In a bit over a month, we'll have six stadia with capacities over 50,000 and Prestige in the process of expanding to about 45,000. We'll almost be able to put in a bid for a tournament

Knights will have 5 stands in very near future and as I was looking at his progress tday I've noticed that he decided to take my third spot over
So yes, within 7wks we will have 6 stadiums 50k's+ and 77 days for Prestige to get over 45k's.
Is there a specific limit of stadium capacity to host international tournament? Somehow I've never noticed that to be honest. As I didn't think we would be able to host any of those in near future

well, in real soccer the host get free berth automatically.. it might be the same in here, perhaps?
To host the real life World Cup, I think you need all stands over 40k. I don't think the same applies here.
A couple of seasons back, I put in a half-hearted bid for the U17 World Cup purely to see what was involved in making a bid. The winning bid had eight 80k stadia. Our bid had at least one, maybe more, under 20k.
So while, it's not an essential requirement, I think to be taken seriously, you need eight fairly big stadia and, yes, you probably need to qualify too. The qualification process appears to fill all the available spaces with no room for automatic qualifiers.
If we can hold on to these seven teams and get another couple seriously building up facilities and stadia, we might be able to make a serious bid for something like a junior World Cup or an Intercontinental Cup in a couple of seasons time.

I was checking with admins to leave no space for doubts.
To make the game easier and competition equal there is neither limit to size of stadium neither automatic qualification as u pointed correctly. In fact, u went even further to try what it takes to win the bid.
The only thing I can add is that there is only limit with number of stadium which is either 4 or 8 as I have been advised.
Based on what u mentioned my question is:
Do u wanna send a bid next season already to get Australia into mind of others so when the real bid take a place we might get extra votes?
Or would u prefer to rather wait and count on "single shot"???

I had a look at all the bids ever made for tournaments (there weren't that many) and found the following:
1. You don't need to qualify. Sweden hosted the last senior World Cup without qualifying. They did, however, have a strong bid with eight max stadia, a professional looking mascot and a promise of credits for winning teams.
2. In competitive bidding processes, the winning bids have typically offered max capacity stadia, a website updated throughout the tournament, reasonably designed logos and mascots, prizes of credits, and they've all been European except for the Intercontinental Cup which doesn't feature European teams.
3. Not every bid is competitive. The season 12 Intercontinental Cup had one bid for USA submitted by vlady so I suspect there were no bids and he chose USA.
I think we could put in a reasonable bid for next season's Intercontinental Cup. If we want we could also put in a bid for either the U17 or U20 World Cups this season. It would be good to have someone on board who has some graphic design skills.

Intercontinental cup would be a good start w/real chances
Once we host any of competition it should be easier to get more votes later,I believe.
I also for one of U's bids
Ur research seems to be spotless, I appreciate it ((=
so How many credits (for success) r we talking about?

Happy New Year to you and every one else as well!
Congrats to Trueblue on winning yet another premiership. Congrats to Atlantic on finishing 4th, a best ever result. And congrats to Austeal on finishing 13th, the best place of the newly promoted teams. Last year's promoted group look solid and hopefully in a couple of seasons they will be replicating the efforts of Atlantic, barging past the older, more established teams towards the top of the table.
Good luck to everyone in season 16!
