Happy with team performance today, 11 goals. Not because of the number of goals, but the fact almost the whole team scored!

Ok, I couldn't help myself and had to spend a couple of weeks researching my team working out who is my "Biggest Rival" over the last 6 and a half seasons (not much of a surprise)... so firstly here are the results:

.... and now some commentary on Highland Terriers.

1. My 4 main rivals are FC Kangaroo, Bar Reef, Parra FC & Tylko.

2. FC Kangaroo are my biggest rival, having played them a HUGE 15 times (across League, Nat Cup, League Cup games)....5 wins, 8 losses, 2 draws, so a Success Rate of 40%... although that has been increasing with more wins recently.

3. No Surprise also but a 0% success rate vs TrueBlue, although I have come down from losing 8-0 to about 4-0 on average.

4. I like to say I am the bogey team for Beta FC... having a 20% success rate vs Beta FC... the other top 4 teams are less than 5%.

Except one match which I won past two years I felt I keep loosing..
.. well, we basically started at the very same mmt and promote on a very same year so.. I will stick around for while yet.. I love stats so I might do the same just out of curriosity later on this week..

By offensive, I assume you mean high-scoring

I guess we did have a 6-3 in the Premier League recently so 8-3 isn't impossible.

If you look a bit more closely, it's a poor defensive game. Parra's keeper was below par while Atlantic's backline let them down.

Looking even more closely, Caleb Waters (the Parra keeper) is a great example of someone who needs his small secondaries trained. His keeper skill is 250 so, trained properly, he should get better ratings. Technique and speed are a bit low but in the acceptable range. However, passing and heading are down around the 30-40 mark and probably never been trained. A couple of weeks spent pushing them up to the 60-70 mark would produce a noticeable improvement in ratings.

Atlantic, however, had midfielders and forwards playing out of position in their defensive line which meant their poor keeper was pummelled.

As many people have said for ages... The difference between success and failure with ppm is often training and positioning / tactics.

True but in PPM World poor ratios do mean poor players

As they should, that's what i meant by "training". It's the same in the real world. Look at the best players in the world, they're all at least "competent" at all aspects of the game, both offense and defense, positioning, etc etc. one-dimensional players simply don't last, in any sport.

Any Aussie teams left in the Cup competitions?
