Maintenance costs for all 7 facilities at level 15 are 2,072,700. So 2 custodians at 100/100 would save 310,905 daily on facilities alone.
Maximum possible arena maintenance is a bit lower at 1,881,200. A pair of 100/100 custodians would save 282,180 each day here. So total custodians savings could be 593,085 daily.
They would be worth their salaries money!
If they are not worth their money in your case, then it's your problem. I know mine are.

Getting rid of them and replacing them with worse guys is counter-productive as you lose the benefits they bring. It's a case of PPM's got ya by the balls in this situation.

In my eyes it's a normal problem, where you have to make a decision or even a compromise and that's what managing is about.
In the case of custodians it's simple. If they cost more than they save or will save sometime soon, then they are gone. Other staff evaluation is harder. Anyway, it's always your choice what to do. Keep them and pay their salaries or get rid of them. I don't understand, why complains about their salaries. They are the same for everyone and there is nothing to complain about.

Staff salaries aren't too big, players' salaries are too low.

i have question to our ppm speaker vlady. does ice quality have improvement on game result or just for public attendance?

As far as I know, all this upgrades help increase the attendance ! It doesn't have any other influence !

he would know a little deeper becouse my logic tells me if you play on good surface you play a lot better than on bad one and if my team plays at home always on good ice then they should have to get slight advantage against that ones who play on good only occasionaly

I don't see how that'd be advantageous. Since both teams play on the same ice surface. I can almost guarantee you it is what Ciukitu said... and only for more attendance to avoid re-programming the game engine.

there is my thougts, example from rl
your team always trains on pound, but my team always at arena. our teams are very similar and we play a game on arena not pound. your team would need some time to adapt at new ice qualitie

maybe its stupid to implement things like it occurs in life but this makes sense to me

I imagine that they'd work on coding other deficiencies before trying to tackle the coding intricacies of pond training vs training at joe louis arena.

lol, there are no pond teams here. ice quality has no influence on the result. if anything, poor ice surface or weird deflections off the boards are an advantage to the home team who are used to such conditions in real life.

the ice quality has only influence on attendance as is written in the guide.
