Wow, you understand nothing. There were hundreds and hundreds of players all at 23:50 yesterday. Go check the teams who bought between 20-50 players at that time yesterday.
It's comical that you think this is good for the game.

taloncarde, there are literally tens of teams we've found who bought 30 270-350 OR players that were selling at the same second. you literally couldn't bid fast enough on them, there were too many. we're not talking about a few "noname" cross teams selling off their players. the scale is huge.
i could care less about the players i have on the market, i put them up this morning after i knew about all of this. this is about 25-50 teams making hundreds of millions of dollars for nothing.

Oh no, teams bought 20-50 crappy players that I have no interest in!!! the world is ending!
What is one of these teams, i have some scouting cycles, i'll be glad to scout one of these amazing steals (mostly for my own amusement)

again, were these players actually worth buying? No one seems to be talking about it, unless this is really a round about argument against day trading
Its the bulk, Mr. Sarcasm. Its a free 40M-100M. But thats good. Free money is great for the free market.
would you buy a working plane for $10? you might not need a plane, but i think you could probably sell it for more than $10.
Yes, i'm being sarcastic, but i'm just trying to make a point. you guys are exaggerating your perceived impact on the economy, when the fact is you don't know what will happen. If these players are not worth buying now, what will make them worth "40-100M" in the future?
They would have been worth more than that last week. What's going to make them worth that in the future is if the market snaps back in two months and also two months of training.
but again on the free market thing, they are only worth as much as anyone is willing to pay at that time. they "may" be worth more in the future, but we never know.
As far as training, if i wasn't going to buy a player because he has no growth potential, 2 months of training won't change that...

then you dont need to buy them, but people will. and i suspect this whole situation to be resolved soon and the market will be back to normal very quickly and these players will be worth quite a bit when they're ready to sell.
My only complaint is that it was a really poor way of executing a feature - if a team goes inactive like that, sell their players on a date and time that coincides with them going inactive - this keeps the market flowing. Don't just chunk a few thousand players out there at the same time.
As an intelligent human being it is just a lazy method and causes so much chaos and unbalance it is sad.
That is why I said that it was shortsighted.
There were many other possibilities and it seems like they took the easiest way out.

Why do players get sold when a team goes defunct?
They should stay on the AI team, shouldn't they?
