I checked the option "React to the opponent's withdrawal of the fourth line", but my team played the whole first period with 4 lines although the opponent started the match with only 3 lines. Why is that so? Is that option reacting only during the match? I find it illogical because the start of the match is also the part of the whole game. I think it's quite bad that this option is not considering the start of the match, and this diminishes its usefulness.

Ur opponen didn' withdraw any line during the match !

I perfectly understand what that means, but that is just the choice of words - and what really counts is the meaning. The beginning is also the part of the match, so the beginning also counts as "during the match".
I do not wish this to become an argue about the exact meaning, I just wish to point out that it is logical to observe the beginning of the match too, and to react at the beginning as well as during the latter course of the game. Otherwise this option looses a lot on its meaning and importance.

Of course, if you check your opponent's past games and see they always play with 3 lines, and change your setup to 3 lines only before the game, that would also work.
I believe the intention was not for this to be a crutch on your tactic settings, instead to match with your opponent if they make a change during the game, which you can't obviously do manually.

I don't get it. How on earth the penalties are calculated? The whole season I have had penalties more than I've got powerplays. Only one of my player has aggresion higher than technique. And the difference is only one skill point.
Also the meaning of shooting skill is mysterious... It seems that there are well succeed teams with very low shooting...

It's good that you've said that because I started to train technique. It would be useless.
I wouldn't say it's useless, I have one player with bad penalty problems, and he is someone I know has horrible technique.
Jehki, I noticed you play a lot of Counter-attacks, when you do play other tactics, do you have less penalties?
What about the games you are playing 4 lines all game and the ones you are playing 4-3-3? There are other factors than just player attributes to consider.

Well I don't know, when a guy says that he has technique on a level with aggression, what can you say further ?
that there is more things to look at, such as he is playing one tactic predominatley more than others, or he is playing some games with lines of 4-3-3?
Or maybe he just has bad luck, or maybe his opponents are playing on higher importance due to him being the top team in his country?
But, if you want to change your plans based on other people's analysis and not figure it out yourself, sure, go for it!

Well I know that I used to take a ton of penalties, I trained up my tech to agg and now I very rarely take any, 1-3 a game vs what used to be 5-7.
I don't know how truthful he is being about them being even for him to take so many penalties it just doesn't match.

Sometimes I get 0 penalties with counter attacks, sometimes 8 (like today). Same I could say for other tactics I've used. There seems to be no logic.
And I just checked my current month and previous month matches. I didn't notice correlation between lines and penalties. Today I got plenty of penalties after I changed to play with 3 lines, but it seems to be an exception...

Man, I've seen a lot of things here, and what do you expect from me ? To close my eyes over this? How you made your analysis, only on your games ?
From what I've seen penalties are more often if you have low tech, play high, play with 3 lines, and maybe the most important - if you are destined to lose that game.

I chat with guys I play against and when we play I always take less penalties and the difference so far as been tech.
