Hi all...

Ireland have got a National Ice Hockey Team, and we should be getting control of the team hopefully in the next week or so.

Which brings me to players....

We need to get a squad together and instead of me trawling through the 100's of players from Ireland, I'd like it if you guys could post your best players to be considered for the first ever Irish National team squad selection.

Right now, there isn't a hard and fast rule, but if we can aim for players in the 350OR bracket and beyond than this should be a good starting point.
Of course, players falling below this number should also be posted up, as I said, there's no hard and fast rule.... yet. Good quality players are vital, so please only post what you would consider your elite players, 1 more "loose" rule could be players with a 2:1:1:1 ratio or close, would be great...

Apart from the prestige of having your own players play for their country, there are numerous benefits of having a player in the squad...

Training bonuses.
Popularity Increases.
Extra Income.

These factors all affect your club team in the positive and by themselves are a huge incentive to get your players posted up here.

Again, all players will be considered

At the moment, there isn't a dedicated Irish Hockey forum, this may appear in the coming days, but I want to get a start here for the time being.

There is also the issue of appointing an assistant to work with me in this first season of national games.

Very good defenders, but Martin Roland have low Career longevity! But I think it will be not barrier to play in National Team!@

Yes, he definitely should have been in the National Team...

Guys, the players in the squad are more geared towards the future of the NT game.

We dont expect to light the world on fire right now, but with careful player selection, who knows what might be in a couple of seasons time?

I would prefer to lay down the groundwork for a great NT, rather than trying to win games right now with older players, players who wont improve a whole lot, or players with bad qualities/CL.

On the choosing of 50 players for the squad, we're satisfied that we have chosen the best out there.

Just looking at this player if I'm being honest.
And yes, he is a very good player, an oversight on my behalf...

it is mistake that you make nt for future. you will never know what youth you will pull next time. bonuses from nt are very small so they wont improve players with low or much faster. even if they will play ar frienldies they will got about additional 5 or points by extra training.

this team has great potential to win right now (i know, i have some irish nt players scouted )

btw players with age 23 and CL 4/6 imrpoves exactly the same speed as 18 yo 5/6
