I've been officially elected manager for the senior team. I want to get an assistant appointed as soon as possible. please e-mail me if you are interested. as a new manager I will say I would appreciate a mentor in that position so if capsaicin or coach2live are interested I would be thankful for your input. If not, that's ok, would also appreciate someone eager to get into the NT but didn't wan't to run.
Great start to the world cup so far! Coach and I thought the youth movement would pay off some day, but not this quick. You are clearly pushing the right buttons. Keep it up!
The United States got some help during its bye week.
First, Serbia beat China, keeping China at 1 win in 5 games. China has been conserving energy and could very likely go on a 3 game winning streak going forward. China can only win 4 games by the end of this round.
Greece lost to the Ukraine and only has 1 win in 6 games. Greece can only win 3 games at the end of this round - they would need to win on a tiebreaker in an unlikely 4 way tie to make the playoffs at this point.
Ukraine has 3 wins in 6 games - they passed the U.S., but the U.S. has 3 wins and a game in hand.
A win against Greece, the team the U.S. is most likely (but not guaranteed) to beat, would be enough to guarantee at the worst a three way tie for second. The game against Greece takes place in 3 days.

Amazing that Will Villarreal was the highest OR player on the Senior NT until today. He's had an incredible career, and I've been waiting for the day until my player would overtake him in OR haha.
Dropped a few players today and replaced to another few.
Team started with 20 players and now stands at 19.
I may or may not drop one more player.
The first phase was to identify what players to drop (as we have a deadline to drop them) and the ones that could have immediate impact to be added.
My preference has always been to delay calling new players as there is no benefit to anyone if they are not called for games.
In the next phase i will publish the names of players that are under consideration for the team and under watch.

Point Guards
---------------------------------------------------------------
Starter: Will Villarreal He is a veteran and still ahead of any other prospects. I project him being a 2nd player next season but for this season he should be the main player
2nd Player: Bernie Babb He is only 20 years old but almost as good as Villareal. He will be the starter for next season and for this season I will try to get him prepared and chemistry higher.
Reserve - Potential candidates (not in particular order)
Ryan McGovern
Ryan is too tall, aged and on low CL. Considering he has good shooting i think it would be best if he is trained as SG.
Alex Behm
Behm is young but his legs are tired. 3/6 at such young age is not very promising ... Like Ryan, probably it is best to try to convert to SG
Both players are just a few Tec short of current SGs so i do think it is viable to try to save them and convert into SG. Ryan already has great shooting
Kelley Steiner
He is only 20 and almost as good as Behm. He is a lock to make the team. I just want to sort out SG situation before I call him. Should happen very soon
Isaac Reinert
Just as good as Steiner but 3 years older. I plan to carry 3 PGs so he may just miss the team. I see him ahead of both Ryan and Behn who are currently in the team. Will be on call in case of major injury
Ramon Kopka
I am not a fan of small players but he does have good qualities and is ready to help.
Players who were looked but did not make the cut ...
Ed Simpson , Dan Devine , Harry Ricks , Cory Condon , Roy Cohan , Milton Banaszyak , Omar Shaffer

I don't know if you have any room for him, but my best player [Jai Bender=http://basketball.powerplaymanager.com/en/player-profile.html?data=1058626-jai-bender ] was on the U20 for awhile if I remember correctly. OR is 682, AvQ 85%, CL is 4/6. Only blocking has below 80% quality, shooting at 80%, and everything else at 88% or above. Still trying to upgrade training facility to train him a little better...
I had that problem also. So u press the basketball player thing[basketball_player=id] Then you take out the id [basketball_player=] then you go to the player page and put the player id in where it said id so Iván Sámuel
There are still 5 slots. I will probably save 2 in case a team is about to go ghost and we want to save players.
I will also very likely add a SG or 2 but it will be likely mid season to the end.
I am also watching for a tall player, preferable PF to add.
Next season changes are great that none of our current SG stay in the team.

Sorta related... There seems to be a real shortage of tall players that were raised from the sports academy. I can never get tall players from my sports academy... the tallest guy so far only grew to 208 cm /:
I project a couple of my youngsters to be 210 - 212 cm but the combination of good qualities and height seems to be rare.
