Is there any word on when the basketball and tennis management games will be available.

Basketball might take up to a year. Tennis will take a long time if it even gets created, especially if it doesn't come after basketball. Only hockey, soccer, and handball are available for the foreseeable future.

Basketball will ready for the FIBA World Championship. It would be stupid for PM to miss a great marketing opportunity like this.
Is it the earlier you join the higher division you start in?

In beta it goes from the top down. Once full version comes out it will be an auction then random based on your preference.
Not nothing. You'll have a 5-day head start on learning tactics and formations... just make use of them.
