Well, Team USA are in uncharted waters now. We pounded Portugal 32-22 and sit in first with a 3-1 record. Tomorrow we play Sweden for 1st place in the group. Poland plays Portugal so baring some bizarre upset we are going through to the final 20 for the first time in USA history. Again we are in a position where we can rest some players and head into the next round.

Sad to see the loss to Slovakia. That's a tough matchup for any team to get though. I wonder how the seeding would've worked out for us if we'd gone a little harder and beaten Sweden in the preliminary round. We would've finished our group 1st instead of 3rd, and (theoretically) gotten a much more favorable seeding.

Regardless, I'm thinking that we wouldn't have had enough gas in the tank to make too much more of a splash than we did.

Well done this season though! Looking forward to seeing how the improved finish sets us up for next season (hopefully our qualification group matches are a tad easier).

We ran into some issues with players being traded to teams with bad facilities, but we have the first crop of the core coming. A few will become starters over the next 3 seasons.

Raymond is my first player on the senior team. He only cost me 7,111,350. I plan to maintain roughly his current training ratios.

The last season the USA Senior National team had a fantastic season. We finally advanced to the Final 16 and lost in the first round. This great season has pushed the USA up to 21st in the world rankings. This season the goal is to make it past the first round and attempt to make it to the final 16. The second goal is to crack the top 20 in rankings.

We dropped 7 players and added 8. This is a key crop of young players coming in. We begin to address our issues at pivot and wing. We have our future #1 goalie joining as well. We added a key 2 way back. The starting line up will be basically the same but our starting pivots will be weak on experience. If this causes issues then Jeff Rice will step back in.

This season we are up for a very interesting grouping. We face Czech Republic (2nd), Portugal (15) Netherlands (28), and Iran(37). The schedule starts off right away against Netherlands and Iran. These two games will dictate how we fare for the season.

Forgot to add. I am looking for an assistant manager. The USA National teams all work together. The assistant will need to have at least 200 experience. The key rolls will be to work with me to plan out the next two seasons of player movement, help set lines and tactics. Take over when I am not available. The manager must be from the USA pool of managers and will work with the U21 and U19 teams.

Hey. I vote that we change the USA Senior National Team Arena to that of the [handball_team=16057]. It is comparable in every way, but it's owner is a US manager who is currently active and present in game.

There's no reason for a dead team to continue to get any of the benefits of national team competition.

I think Cold Mountain's arena was a good choice.

I don't think there are any benefits to hosting a national team in your arena. Also, didn't they remove national team players bringing home a share of ticket sales with handball?

I believe there's some sort of benefit from having players in the active lineup for the national teams. i see random money posting under the "Other" label in the income section of my finances (the same place where you get the $50,000 for logging in each day).

So far this season, I have $827,394 in income under that label. Which is about $427,394 more than should be there just from the $50,000 log in bonus.

Double check this saturday to see if you get anything from the U19 team using your arena. i think you should... but it won't likely appear until after the game results are fully processed by the system (@ around 9:00-9:30 EST)

From the guide "Players in the national team ..... bring a share from the revenue to their club for every match they play"

I guess it's just basketball that they took away the national team bonus money for players.

My "other" income is 400k which is from the 8 days of logging in - nothing extra for hosting on Saturday.
