The USA have a huge game coming up this weekend against Venezuela on the road. Win this game and we are 4-2 with Poland and Sweden to finish. Sweden has 2 games remaining with the other one against Germany. Germany has two games remaining as well. Poland is their other match.
We knew all year long that we had to win 3 of the games against Venezuela and Germany and 1 against Poland and Sweden to have any chance of finishing third. WE have met the first goal and will need to win our last game to achieve the second goal.
So to sum it up. USA needs to win this match to give us some wiggle room for that last game against Sweden as we will not be beating Poland anytime soon.

*Throws white board out the window* Wow we got smoked today. Our 6-0 defense hung our keepers out to dry and the bulk of our forwards could not hit the broad side of a barn.
Well Poland next week and the must win game the week after.

Well yesterday we went low against Poland. Guess what we almost won. I am thinking that if we increased the tempo to VH we would have lost by 10 or something.
Germany and Poland are in and it all comes down to our last game against Sweden. Fugate is coming along very nicely and will see even more time next season.
Next week sweden and then on to the finals.

Just curious... but why didn't we play two goalies today?
I thought the team performs better when there is a backup goalie to provide some relief for the starter...? Awefully strange way to approach a make or break game, no?

There are three goalies on the national team though...
I went away to run a race and set the line up yesterday.

That's a bad break for us.
We still managed to keep the game close despite a red card and 7 turnovers from North.
Not taking a shot at Poland in the previous game is going to haunt me for a bit. But lessons learned for the future.

The following players will be dropped and picked up by the U19 team
1. Ted Keenan
U21
1. Matthew King
2. Bob Young
3. Albert Hudson
4. Dean Read
5. Webb Densmore
Good luck to the junior teams and take good care of these important players.
Xalthos and I will review the lineup shortly and tweek it if needed. Year two of the plan kicks off this weekend.

The USA starts this season at the 31st ranked position in the world. We fell 2 places after a very disappointing finish in season 8 world cup. USA finished 3-5 and forth in a group that saw 2 of the advancing teams make it to semi finals of the world cup. Sweden had our number last year.
This year we continue to build upon our chemistry of our new players. This season we are up against the following teams: Belgium (38), Italy (18), Serbia (8), and Finland(10). We have a very tough group and we will be the underdog for the majority of our matches. This will be a tough season.
Tomorrow we will be playing the first exhibition game of the season against Italy. We will be playing for chemistry gains and not our starting line up.
I will update the player profiles later this weekend.

Awesome day for all three NT teams. We are sitting 1 win and 1 tie and have Serbia coming up next week which will be a very tough match. I am surprised that Finland is 0-2, but that gives us a chance to play the role of the spoiler.
Hey Tesco. I'm under the understanding that chemistry doesn't carry over if players are dropped correct?
So the senior team needs to call the U21 guys that graduated, so that Cunning Procrastinators (or Emus) can call the U19 guys that graduated, right?
Just double checking... because I was gonna start adding guys, but I don't wanna drop any of the graduating guys if it means nuking their chemistry.
