Until this point, I've always thought injuries were some random occurrence, obviously weighted/affected somehow by your team doctors and medical center level.
Last night however, I had a player in BOTH handball and hockey get the exact same injury, with the exact same injury length (Right forearm tendon inflammation - 11 days). Seems awfully unlikely for such a coincidence to occur if injuries were truly random. I now find myself thinking that the system just "gives" injuries when your team is healthy (up to a maximum of three injured players and then it seems to stop).
What's everyone else's experience with this? Do you think it is truly random? Or somehow fixed?
The funny thing is, my hockey medical center is almost 3x higher than my handball one. What effect does that facility really have? If my most recent injuries are any indication, I'm thinking: nothing.

I have never bought the medical center prevents injuries. I do not play hockey anymore, but when I did, I always had 2 players hurt. It does however lower the days of the injury. That I can confirm.
I do not buy it is random at all, the game searches you for injuries, if you have none you are getting one period.
Not quite as bad in Handball at this time, I can go over a week w/o injury here. I feel that is only because of number of players in hockey vs handball.
You can go the whole season with 7 players in handball.

Yeah... medical center is definitely low on my priorities. It's just kind of silly though, because what's the point of leveling it up if the game always tries to stick you with injuries if you have none?
Consider the following scenario:
Medical Center lvl 1 - cost=$0; daily expenses=$333
player 1 gets injured for 15 days
(total days=15, total injured days=15)
Medical Center lvl 10 - cost=$23,000,000; daily expenses=$29,667
player 1 gets injured for 5 days
3 days after player 1 heals, player 2 gets injured for 7 days
(total days=15, total injured days=12)
If player 1 is your best player, then yeah, I could sort of understand how the lvl 10 medical center would help, but in pretty much any other scenario, I think this is a losing upgrade tbh.

"You can no longer edit this post." - dammit
But yeah, anyways... i'd think that anyone who has a decently balanced team would be ok without a very high medical center (because even if their best player goes down for a while, it's not a huge deal to them).
I guess you could argue that severe injuries "supposedly" kill your CL faster, but until I see any statistical correlation suggesting that to be the case, I'm not convinced.

My handball player recovered at 11:00 PM and at 11:03 he got concussion and out 9 days again.
ouch outsdider!! that is just wrong, let's hope they do not lower the C/L if he gets more then 1 concussion!!
I recently noticed this as I had another player injured today. Never seems to happen during a game. Always on day off and appears that when one is about to come back another gets injured. I just role with it, but it is annoying simply because it is difficult to plan strategies if you don't understand the rules an principles. As you mentioned, how do I assign funds to my medical facility if it is not really doing anything for me?
I've yet to find a correlation between injuries and C/L path.
