I've created a jersey for my team. It's not bad, but I'm not really all that crazy about it. I have a general idea of how to make custom jerseys but I'm not entirely sure. Would anyone be able to explain how to create a jersey without using PPM's logo and stripe generator??
You will have to do it in a program. I use adobe photoshop. There are many options but I find photoshop works best.
Photoshop is expensive, but Gimp is free, or picassa as well. I do prefer photoshop though.
Never heard of those. I just got a newer photoshop elements. I hate it compared to the other one I had.
So essentially I just create a 254x124 pixel jpg of the jersey, then import it? Is there anything else I should know?
the picture you import doesn't need to be jersey shaped.
It will automatically "cut-out" the jersey shape from the picture.

I use Paint.NET and GIMP, they work fine, and yes, all you have to do is use a picture 254x124 with the designs in the places you want them (ex: arm, shoulder, waist, etc) and like TheChad said, it will automatically cutout the jersey from that picture.
I used paint and an image I pulled off of google images. I love my uniform... I hope it stays when my pro-pack expires.
I make unique hockey jerseys and remake logos.
