I'm planning on moving to Vancouver in Sept, going to be going to school at UBC.
Anyone know of any apartment buildings semi-near UBC?
I'm looking for a studio/bachelor's apartment, for under $1000 a month, and less than an hour to UBC.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I dont know of any of the names of the places but there is lots and I think around a $1000 would get you one. you are better off moving to the places surrounding vancouver and just take the train in, it'll be cheaper and you will get a better place probably.
This being said, I'm from Ontario and I've only been to BC once... for two weeks.
What train are you talking about?
The Sky Train?
How far away does it go?
Thanks guys.

I lived in Maple Ridge for years before moving to the Gibsons(40 min ferry ride to vancouver) and the WCE is the best option for commuting to UBC I would think
goto that Wikipedia link it shows what cities goes to.
they are all within an hour to Van.

There's some housing on campus too, studios go for about $850 and one bedrooms go for around $975. I'm not sure how hard it is to get in though. This is the link to their website though:

Yeah, I'd rather not live on campus. I'm getting a little too old for that.
The WCE sounds cool, but if I have a late class, I don't know how I'd get home.
