This is definitely lower than I had hoped to finish the first half, but I did tank six straight games to get my camps in, so I can't be too upset. Hopefully I can play my way back up the standings a little bit before the end of the season.

Things are looking tight at the bottom of the playoff race! Only two points separate 6th from 10th. There are definitely going to be a couple of deserving teams left out.

Yeah, I spent too much energy early last season and it definitely hurt me later on. I'm trying to be a bit stingier this year on energy usage (when possible); even going so far as to play my B squad against the lower level teams or playing VL against the top 4.

I should hit the 80's in the next game or two so I'm a bit lower than I'd like but I guess we'll see how it works out.

Somebody put a 30 mil bid on Kulikov, luckily I've given him quite a few signing bonuses but still had to fork over 9 mil to retain him.

I was able to defeat Bohemians goalie. Now Bohemians and Tampa By are dangerously behind 9th place.

I suspect some teams will start to burn more energy and fight for playoffs.

Save energy and run camps in the first half so as to make a big playoff push in the second half? I'd never do that...

you have gteam to actually compete in the playoffs, i dont. hoever, finishing 7th or 8th will make your playoff life much more difficult.

running camps to me wont affext my team. just a couple of players would be removed from line. I have an elder team that refuses to train.

I expect to fall but i am enjoying being at 3rd so lets see how long it last.

Yeah, I was hoping my backups would pick up a couple wins during my camps and leave me in a better spot. My team's good and could compete in the playoffs, but I'm chasing some very good teams....the Grapes and Cyclones haven't even started to expend energy, and the Jeepsters are on a 12-game winning streak. I'm actually pretty worried that I'm going to get left out this season, which would be disappointing. And even if I sneak into 8th place, I can't imagine I'll upset the Wookies a second season in a row.

Maybe next season I'll re-think my camp timing, since my team is young and I basically send my entire starting lineup to camp. The problem is, I don't want to hold them during the playoffs in case I can make a run, and I don't want to wait until after the playoffs because I have a bunch of U18 and U20 NT guys and the NT managers generally prefer camps done before the tournaments.

You have been managing the crap out of your team this season...very well done. 3rd is an awesome spot to be, when looking at the numbers (team strength and player OR) you should be sitting in the 7-10 region.

yeah, and i bought a bunch of players so i could maintain the pace. before buying them id be a 10-15 place kind of team.

Learned a lot on NT team as I had to study opponent a lot and try to understand why things failed. Talking about NT, we are trying to figure it out why we are often CRAP on 3rd periods!!!

Jeepsters beat my team today even though i think mine played pretty well.

mine just refuse to be trained. they come and play video games all day.
