There are now only 6 active division III teams. 4 of those teams have only logged on once. The other 2 have less than a half of a season of experience.
There are 2 dead teams in divisions I and II combined including The Updog Brewers who have somehow avoided relegation for 3 seasons in league I.1 after folding.

I'm in a bit of quandary. After many years my team the Sticky Toads is a perennial top 8 team in USA I.1. Typically the bottom half of the top 8. About half my starting roster is home grown talent that has been developed in house. However in order to complete for the top 4 spots I need to acquire high end talent via free agency. I have the means to do that. But it typically means bidding for players on other USA teams. I'd rather not advance by hurting other USA teams.
So what to do?

Think of it this way. You have grown as far as you can grow with inhouse talent. Now your at that stage where you can afford the best USA talent and if that is not there the bottom tier of the world talent. Once you step into this level, the game changes completely for you. Now your competing with the top teams in USA and the other countries for talent, world ranking and as much bonuses as possible to slowly move up in the world rankings.
You have to do what you have to win. Do not worry other teams in the world should be after your player too. So just do what you have to do. Good luck.
Congrats again to the Thugs on another league championship. Well done!
Well, after 30 seasons of PPM hockey the Serpents are going to pack it in, for reasons discussed in previous posts. I'll be putting any national team players I own (and others) up for sale when the new season begins. Good luck and enjoyable seasons ahead to all!

It'll be sad to see you go. You have a solid tier II team with the potential to become a top team in time due to your team's relative age. Your roster is full of former U18 and U20 NT caliber players and players with future senior NT potential.
If you go ahead with this, then good luck in your future endeavors!

Glad not to see you leave all the way. Hang in there with basketball.
Sorry to see you go from Hockey! We had some great games back in the days when we both were in lower leagues (:
Put a bunch of players from my team on the market. Put deadline on them after 6PM EST (Wed,Thurs,Fri) to give USA managers a better chance of getting any players in whom they are interested.
