LOL, I was going to write a huge message not understanding your complains as i confused you with Gambit
well, there are some "super" teams but very few of them. there are ways to work out even if one team wasnt "blessed" with good players.
Market is "cheap" now and SA wont provide good players (to replace the given players) in a while.
I think they actually fixed the issue of having some teams being blessed week after week from SA making their team either so strong or so rich that is hard to catch up.
this new system provides more options.

I haven't been blessed from my SA. I got a 1 star and a 1.5 star. With only 1.3 mil per week it will be 2 or 3 weeks before I can land 1 player. I am not alone. I've been looking and others have it worse. The teams I have lost against my guys wouldn't make good subs for them. I have a guy 220 cms that sucks for a center but is decent for pf but he suffers a penalty for being to tall plus he is hurt. Another that would do ok at sf but is too tall and he gets penalized. To top it off absolutely nobody can shoot. Close, medium, 3s, balanced, nobody. Why wouldn't they make all teams the same talent wise and let manager styles be the determining factor? This way sucks for over half the teams.
Haha, I have trouble separating the two, also. I was a little confused when he was complaining about his team...
Disagree. I pulled a 200 OR player from my level 4 SA. That's ALMOST as good as the worst players I started with.
I wouldn't be surprised if by the time we get to level 6-7 SA or so, we're talking about near replacement.

... training facilities suck right now... so players (even those at the top) aren't gaining much OR at all.
I got a player with a level 2 SA that was 165 OR. I got a player with a level 4 SA that was 200 OR.
In that same time, my best starting player has gained maybe 2 OR.
I've got guys that are backups (who play every game) that are around 260 OR. I'd take a 15 year old 245-250 OR rookie that had better qualities over those guys any day.
Logic suggests that I'm maybe 2-3 SA levels away from that.

my level 4 player was worse then the level 2. In fact the only one i gave a contract was from level 2.
just because you get better SA it does not mean u will constantly get "great" players.
In handball most my good players were from much lower SA. Since level 5 (or 6 don't recall) pulls were horrible.
Hockey i never had any pull worse keeping other than from a couple of seasons ago.
You sound like you counting your SA pulls to be progressively better and never get any worse. that wont be the true.
Plus, pulling one player per week means only 7 pulls per season. (if there were no draft)
out of the 7, only half would be "pullable" then out of the 3 or 4 only one would be a "great" one. that is how i see it

I've barely been able to give away the players I have pulled so far, and I'm building my sports academy nearly as fast as possible. Even so, I don't expect to get worthwhile players at this point anyway.
nah, the fact that you and very few others got luck does not bug me. its way much better than what it used to be where earlier great pulls would pretty much decide the fate of teams: one would sell and earn tons of earlier cash or dominate league earlier on.
new system is much more balanced, IMO.
but if you were complaining id yell

Well given that the average quality of my starting team was like ~30-40 AQ, they wont be training very well and it wont take much for younger players to be better in my opinion.
I'm not dumb enough top say that i'll get nothing but great pulls. But all i need is a few good ones and it completely reshapes my team. So yeah... I'm probably more concerned about my S.A. than anything else at this point (except maybe HR)

I think because there are only 5 starters, getting "top" players wont be something as easy as lets say pulling a "top" hockey player.
those 275-3xx are training slow and youngsters train just not so slow: 0.10 per day faster, currently. So they will train 7 points more in one season IF one dont upgrade higher than level 4. Upgrading one more level then .... 0.15 more per day so 11 more. Not enough to make any impact in one season (70 days).
SA will be very important, of course, but not earlier on as it used to be. I expect big impact on season 3. Meanwhile we play with our elder players and get SA ready.

but that's my point, I'd rather play lower OR rookies and get them experience than play the higher OR bums that I started with.
I only have 1-2 active teams in my league this season, so I can hopefully advance anyways.
So even if an SA player is 20-40 points behind one of my backups, I'll be playing him. Because otherwise, I'm essentially wasting any of the EXP gains I get.

20 points behind ... the lowest OR of my starter is 275. My highest pull 175. that is 100 points difference.
Other pulls: 125 and 145 - lifetime difference
I see your 5th best OR player is 273. To there is a 73 points difference comparing to a 200 OR 15yo.
yeah you started on league IV. Reason why some decided to start there is to play the youngsters and have time to build facilities.
Against ghost teams Im sure you can play your youngsters and win but not in a league of no ghosts ...
