being on beta gives you advantage as long as nobody (or just a few) bid to start on D1.

chances are there will be enough people bidding and you end up on d2

there are bids for each position. So if there are 14 teams (dont recall now how many teams are in a league) then there will be 14 slots to bid. If nobody bid for a slot, then the ones that started earlier take those.

Being that i have already paid the 30 credits to participate in the beta, when it comes to the auction, if I bid nothing at all, do i still receive a placement advantage or is it possible that i could end up in the lowest league?

If you dont participate in the auction you will be placed in your preferance of highest or lowest. I believe priority is given based on the ime you enterred beta.

Asides from bids, placement is based on the time one created the team. If nobody bids too be on D1 and you desire to start on higher division, you wold be on D1.

However, reality is that you will likely be pushed out of D1, unless you bid. if you don't then chances are you start on D2.1

So, you still have placement advantage, but bidding has higher advantage. To bid for D2 i think it will cost 20 credits. so if starting at D2 is a good thing for you, you can look at paying extra 10 credits to enjoy playing earlier.

For handball it wasn't enough for me to stay on D1, I paid to be on beta and paid to be on D1.

Ah well. I've made a ton of adjustments. It's beta, so it's where you get to try things haphazardly with no real consequence.

the engine looks very similar to the handball. not sure if that is a good thing as we're still yet to figure it out. Basketball might even be more complex.
