I'm so tempted to pick him up in my pool. Man Edmonton is going to hate you guys when Calgary's rebuild happens faster than theirs, ahahaha. I'm not going to lie, I expected Calgary to be much worse than they are, but things are definitely looking up. Hopefully Burke will keep Uncle Feaster from wrecking it.
Oilers are just pathetic haha they're going to be really good but it's looking like it won't happen in the near future. I wish we had just one of the young talents they have, we could develop him so much better.
And yeah, I was really pleased when Burke decided to join the team. Feaster's been doing a great job in changing the drafting philosophy here but when it comes to making changes to the actual team, he has shown some questionable decisions - attempting to cough up draft picks to sign O'Reilly, being unable to draw out more from the Iggy and Bouwmeester trades, etc. Hopefully Burke improves that aspect of the management!

I'm so tempted to pick up Monahan as well but I feel it would be the kiss of death for him, so I stay away. Surprised no one has added him yet though, still top 30 in league scoring, Hudler as well has had at least a point in every game so far and he's still a free agent.
I'm very happy with the hustle the Flames have shown so far this year, thought they would for sure be a lottery team, but if they can be within striking distance of a playoff spot at the end of the year with the young guys developing, they will be a lot further along in the rebuild than many thought they were. Not every team needs 4+ years of top 10 picks to rebuild.

I dropped a LW and almost added Hudler, but went with Raymond instead. Not sure if that was the right call.
With two guys on the IR I picked up a LW. That LW would never play because his team plays when my other two LW's teams play. So I dropped him and picked up a RW who is going to be suspended. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH ME!?!?!
I was hoping the Flames would make an effort to sign Raymond, he always seemed to score vs the Flames when he was in Vancouver. I've actually liked him as a player for a while, just has a great set of skills.
I'm surprised they didnt sign him, a hometown guy too. The only thing with Raymond, is when the playoffs come around he usually disappears.
Three stars for the week.
1.Stamkos
2.Kessel
3.Kesler
All playing lights out for their respective teams.
I was hoping for Duchene to make it with his 8 October goals, but alas NHL.com doesn't think much of the Avs.(wasn't even in the top 5 power rankings)
How is Garth Snow a GM, constantly making really bad moves. Vanek unless lights it up with Tavares, will bolt for money at seasons end. Good move for Buffalo, if moulson doesnt work out ship out for more picks at deadline.

I gotta disagree with calling the Vanek trade bad for the Isles. Had this been at the trade deadline, you would be right. This early though, it gives Vanek a chance to gel with Tavares. If he gels, great, sign him before the deadline, if they have no chemistry, trade him at the deadline and get your picks back. This trade, done this early in the year was a win win for both teams!
Yeah, but I don't think the Isles gave away a 1st and 2nd rounder plus Moulson to trade him away again at the deadline if things don't work out. If they do trade him at the deadline, it will be because Vanek isn't playing good and they surely won't get as much as they paid for him. That's why it was a risky move, but I'm pretty sure a Tavares-Vanek duo in form will be much more dangerous than a Tavares-Moulson duo.
