Sorry, I shouldn't have said 'your' NT manager, I meant the NT manager of whatever team he was referring to.
One thing is that 50 % of all national managers want players to have both 70 % in shoot and 70 % in block but that's another thing.
The other thing is that many NT-managers want players to be exactly 30 % on aggression and quickness, 50 % on tec, 70 % on pass etc regardless if they are offensive nor defensive. I'm thinking in other formulas which I can see improve the ratings a lot (also in other formulas depending on position). But NT-managers want in 90 % of the cases have players with the worse ratio instead of the good
Therefor I rather have good player that's not playing the national team instead of bad players that's playing in the national team.

I think this is a really interesting discussion - what kind of % do you give to your team. I would prefer the best player for my own team, but I respect teams who does the opposite of that (train for NT). May I ask what kind of training % you give your own players - in terms of the best ratings acheivable? Maybe just in a personal message.

What is your evidence for your training being the optimal choice? I ask because I have empirically determined an optimal ratio for Primary-Secondary-Tertiary attributes.
Do you ever play against a team that seems to have somehow suddenly, miraculously gotten a hold of a whole bunch of money?
I don't know they did, and I'm not accusing anyone of anything, just sometimes a team that you wouldn't think had oodles of money spends oodles of money and the makeup of their team is drastically different.
There always is an option to take a loan (Team -> Finances -> Loan), that usually explains why teams get sudden burst of money.
Check OTR, HR level, arena size, recent transfers. That'll give you a good idea of how much they get a week. If they've been playing the game for a long time, they also have the option of taking out a max loan.
