I will never sacrifice energy for a tournament, I may play on normal if there is no agreement with the other team as normal = low for regular season games but if I can, I'll play low for sure.
Wow! Chara comes up big against the powerhouse Lovely Midgets. I'll take a tie on the road, using low vs normal intensity, against a better team!
3-1 losing to Raging Pigs today on the road. Hopefully with more home games left I can catch up to the others in my group, but the Bucs are making it tough on themselves to move on to the playoffs here.
Looking at the schedule, I thought this game was a must win. I'm glad I played on normal intensity, because otherwise I surely would have lost.
3-2 win! And I still have a chance at making it into the playoffs now with that win, that was a must.
Damn. What a battle though... 40-35 shots on goal in a 3-2 game. At the very least this tells me that my team is almost ready to take on division II.
Ya was definitely a good battle, too bad you couldn't watch it, you're team hit the post with 10 seconds to go! I thought it was going to be tied up!
By the way, you have officially ended my unbeaten streak in meaningful hockey games. I hadn't lost since game 2 of the battle for 3rd in the playoffs of last season. The Raging Pigs are 20-0 in league action, still alive in national cup, and were 2-0-1 in this tournament.
Does anybody know how the playoffs are drawn? Are we seeded by points, then goal differential like League playoffs? Or is it done randomly like the National Cup?
Congrats to Montreal Canadiens and Milliteers on advancing to the finals.
On an aside: how Milliteers' G, Owen MacNeil, was not the 1st star of the contest between Milliteers and the Raging Pigs', and how Pigs' G, Branislav Chara, was 2nd star ahead of him is beyond my comprehension. Any explanations?
