I don't understand how player ratings are calculated. My highest OR player (a center) usually gets 21 - 23 ratings. My 16 - 17 year old SG & SF's are getting 24 - 25... Same thing with my really high OR PG. I trained their stats so they are proportionate to their position. Ex: My PG has Passing highest, then Tech & Speed, then Agr & Jump... Similarly my C has a really high Agr & Jump, then everything else is lower...
Does energy affect ratings? Does height affect ratings? Do we know the optimal ratio's for each position? I would love some more information on ratings because I think its the reason why I always fall short on winning my league.

Energy has a huge effect, as does height. In game ratings also vary slightly from game to game. Maybe your lowest trained attribute is too low for your players?
Player ratings isn't everything as shooting and blocking do not affect ratings. That being said it's a good way to gauge how good a player is at that position. Height is a factor and in the guide you can find the optimal height for every position. Anything outside of that range results in a rating penalty.
If you want to know your players true ratings check them out at the start of the season when energy loss is at its minimal. If your ratings aren't where you expect it, I suggest scouting players from other teams with similar OR but with higher ratings...see what thry are doing differently
