NICE stadium underoath-- I hope to have mine done in 2 seasons. Still trygin to catch up with top 5 managers and they have toooo much money compared to me.

I guess I was lucky.

I'm now 430th in world for largest amount of money. My goal is to pass Public account in the rankings.

I wonder if I should build three maximum triples or two maximum triples and two minimum triples, upgrading all of my remaining large stand-ups.

I guess I still have to invest more to catch up to Jupiter, let alone the monsters in I.1.

Ive always tried to build a triple in 2 seasons--- Build half first so you can build two and then upgrade both next season. Depends on how long you want to be out on 2 secs.

Haha, thanks. I literally spent the last two seasons investing into basically only my stadium. I was interested in seeing how my soccer and hockey team would fair under different circumstances. Soccer having a better stadium and facilities while lacking player depth, and hockey having player depth but lacking a decent stadium and facilities. With the soccer season ending, I've come to the conclusion that investing into my stadium was the best decision I've made in this sim league. For my situation, player depth can have high costs and is unneeded.

I want to maximize my profit output in stadium but that's going to require a LOT more money and with the big two possibly leaving our league, I'm going to make a push into the top 5 for the next couple of seasons. I've spent a little excessively near the end of this season so I hope it pays off in the long run.

I can't fathom how bad my team would do in D1.

1000 OR players are starting to become cheaper similar to that of hockey.

I actually bought 2 $20 million players (my CM and LD) last season. I think that made the difference between competing with the STL Saints for first and competing with the Covington Rowdies and Sterling Cheetahs FC for second. I was worried that I had wasted my money on those players (I significantly overpaid for the LD in particular), but it turned out to be a successful investment. In hockey, I bought a bunch of older players to fill in to allow me to build my arena while neglecting my training facilities with some success.

I am almost considering playing on hard at the start of the season (while "parking the bus" while all of the better teams in I.1 conserve energy for their Cup Winners Cups, Challenge Cups, etc. Maybe I could upset a few of the better teams (if not the best teams). Of course, then I would have lost that extra energy for every single future game.

I've noticed this trend too, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing. My mistake in hockey is disregarding the player salaries, which can really take it's toll. I don't plan on making the same mistake twice. Instead I plan to focus on my stadium upgrades and my facilities in hopes of one day seeing the Typhoon in division one (probably won't happen for another three seasons, if that).

Hey now, giving extra money to me is not 'overpaying', it's contributing to my 'support soccer youth by making them millionaires before they can even (legally) drive a car' fund.

As far as triples go, I know a number of managers like to upgrade all sections to minimum first, then max them out, however I preferred to always build the largest TFM(s) I could at any given time as long as they would be able to finish before the next sponsor offer. I haven't done the math in a while, but as I recall, the maintenance cost per seat is quite high for a minimum triple, plus building a min then upgrading to max later involves more stand downtime (which costs money in lost ticket sales) than just building the max straight away.

For an example of what I did, let's say I just signed the media deal and I have enough money for one max and one min TFM. I would start the max immediately, but wait on the second stand. I would check every Wednesday after getting sponsor money to compare the largest stand I could afford to build (possibly including a one or two week loan) with the time left till the next media deal. Eventually a turning point will be reached where saving up more money won't help because the stand wouldn't finish in time, so the size of TFM that will still just finish before the media deal is the one that I would build.

The process continues until there is not enough time left to build a min TFM, and then I would look at upgrading already built TFMs to max capacity, following the same rules. Once that time period has passed or there are no more sub-max TFMs to max out, I would either save the rest of my money for the season to do it all again next season, or possible build a facility or two, depending on what stage those facilities were at.

For anyone not in the top couple I.1 spots, maxing your stadium should probably take priority over building those last couple of facility levels. Level 15 training is nice and all, but that's a huge money sink for a small training bonus. My hockey team got into I.1 despite only having level 12 training, HR and SA, level 11 regen, and level 10 everything else. That's really as high as I would recommend building facilities before focusing fully on maxing the stadium.

I created 3 TFL this season and just started the TF level 12.

My plan is to alternate seasons with stadium and facilities building...

This ending season i built stadium, this incoming i will build up facilities.

Realistically, Momsen is going to be my starting LD for at least the next 7 seasons or so until my 15 year old ~450 OR prospect passes him.

That seems to be a good way to go about upgrading. I think I could also get 4,400 more seats by the end of the year by focusing on upgrading my remaining large standups directly to max triples to the extent possible with those considerations.

I had a randomly generated lineup not to mention most of my starters are in camp and I only lost 1-0... A very weird start for the League Cup.

I'm surprised I won, I noticed you purchases (didn't notice you were in camp) and figured your lineup would kill me. Definitely odd start.

Haha wow, not only was I the only lower ranked team to score against an upper ranked team, but I was winning at half time as well!

I had a few starters in training camp, so I was worried I would lose. Luckily my backups performed well, or else I probably would have lost!
