Jorgenius, Im the lead club in Asia. For 10 seasons I have watched some really great communities listen to PM and move to achieve country status. The thanks for their work in forming new countries was to see their revenues cut. I personally "hit the roof" on this issue when I saw most of these countries revenue cut again this season. Personally I call this a "scorched earth" policy.
However dont believe me and do you own due diligence on this this. You will find Indonesia and Kazakhstan treading water, Malaysia and Azerbaijan in deep decline. Japan and Chinese Taipei are almost dead.
Its sad in my dealings with PM they just dont understand my genuine disgust with this. I have never tried to flame them. Only point out the obvious. This a very young game and communities need help to get off the ground.
The OTR system is poison as it only benefits the rich. An equal revenue system between countries is desperately needed if were to get get young nations to be active players in the game.

IMO, the problem is not located in the new OTR system.
The problem relies on the fact that those young nations (the latecomers) have just a few divisions and PPM admins kept the sponsorship related to the number of leagues a given country has.
This concepted should have been abandomned when they created the new OTR system, both because it remained no longer necessary and because it means a reinforcement in their weakness, by diminishing the financial power of the already financially weak newly born nations.
Bottom line my point is: remove the downgrade in sponsorship that the teams from nations with less than IV divisions suffer and the problem will be solved.

By the way I would just like to add that I am not criticizing nobody.
By the time the new OTR system was implemented I was BR C and I myself did not see this dangerous side effect coming (namely, the strong downgrade on smaller nations' teams sponsorships).
We are approaching a new hockey season and this would be a nice time to reset the sponsorship equations, removing the downgrade that the teams suffer on their sponsorship simply to belong to a country that has fewer managers.

Completly agree with you. Small comunities are even smaler now. Very bad desigion, counter productive results are obvious now and downgrade on sponsor should be removed asap. Even profit wise is bad idea couse they loose big markets just to cut sponsor on 5-6 managers that gain advantage playing against weak teams.
What is this new OTR system that is implemented?

New formula to calculate OTR bonus for win or draw that became operational by the beginning of the year (end of last year maybe). Not that much radical changing but the core of the new system is to give bigger bonuses when you face opponents with higher rating, almost like the Elo system used in chess. A slight change that by itself should be made together with the elimination of the diminished sponsorship for teams from small countries, which we did not implement then but it's still time to reset.
Thats why I get 2,5-3 otr per win. Degraded sponsor is a "bonus". Good job PPM, keep up the good work.
Exactly. Keeping them both (diminished OTR gain against lower OTR opponents and downgrading sponsorship to teams from smaller countries) is a death sentence to small countries.
A suggestion... Pro-Pack users should be able to hold 5 more players than non pro-pack users without financial penalties.
(I always seem to be just a few above the limit).
(I always seem to be just a few above the limit).
ProPack should not give you any advantage in the game, only make it easier to perform managerial duties aka more time efficient. If you start differentiating between Pro and non-Pro you get into situations where the more you pay the better your team is; those games aren't fun.
Just my justification why it should stay as-is.

+1
not give advantages in the game by packpro.
100% agree!

I think that this system with v. low, low, normal, high and v. high is not good. It's like you tell your players "today, don't run fast, don't pass ball a lot". it's just not realistic! Match Importance just have too big of a impact to the game result. I would do something else, there is no match importance at all, every game is "normal", but every manager should have like 5 times a season some kind of a bust! It's like saying to players, this game is derby, don't let down the fans. This way people would use it when they really feel like they need win, because they got only 5 high rating matches. At present system, you got weak teams that plays v. high every game against strong teams and there is not much penalty for doing that. I lost to many games this way from teams that are weaker 20-30 points of strength and that ain't very realistic.
I would do one more thing, for every league match that player dose not play, he gain 0,1 of energy back, for every friendly he gain 0,05 energy back. Is not much, but is something, so managers would try to rest players whenever they can. You need to rest players for 5 games to gain "one match extra energy".
