When can we expect a system for users to submit players to Team Canada?

You are so behind on the conversation.

Preliminary is done. Just have to tie the data collection component to a database. Or so I've been told

first of all, i was on the last page somehow, so i thought the conversation was back there. second, your face is behind the conversation.

I would like to ask all Canadian GMs to start looking at their roster for players they think can make the team. A good starting point is for players at, above, or around the 300 OR range, with good ratio builds.

PRI:SEC:TER should be no less than 2:1:1 with good SHO and TEC across the board.

I would first off like to thank everyone who supported myself and my team in the endeavor to make Canada world champions. The bar has been set high by the work of deadrick. It is a great honour to be selected to lead our fair nation and will certainly not take the challenge lightly. The remainder of this message will be in an effort to keep everyone informed. First off I would like to introduce my team:

I will be looking to incorporate more managers into the Team Canada management group. Please keep a close tab on the National Team discussion thread on PPM for updates on the Team Canada.


The next order of business is the current schedule. Upon taking over, much of the schedule was set in stone. There were two openings which I have since filled with home games against Slovakia and Denmark. I am in the process of trying to reschedule some other games because as of this point we only have 3 home games prior to the world championship. I really want to get this changed but it is beginning to look like this is the way the schedule will remain.

Which brings me to players. saint2e is developing a player submission website where managers will be able to submit their players information. This will greatly speed up the process of selecting a team and increase the efficiency. This website has already undergone a testing phase and a link will be posted and emailed personally to every manager. The current national team roster is going to see some changes. There are currently 39 players on the roster (max = 50). The plan is to remove some 19 players or so from the current roster to open up some space. The top 20 players or so that are currently with Team Canada will remain with the club. The goal of removing these players is to create space for players who may have been overlooked or simply were not around during the last team building process. In no way, shape, or form when a player is removed will he not be back on the team. So please do not consider this as your player getting cut.

La prochaine étape est le calendrier. En prenant en main, l’équipe il est apparu que le calendrier était déjà scellé. Il n’y avait que deux créneaux disponibles qui ont été comblés avec des matches contre la Slovaquie et le Danemark. J’essaie de replanifier quelques parties car nous en avons que trois de prévus à domicile, avant les prochains championnats du monde. Je souhaiterai réellement pouvoir modifier ce calendrier, mais il est fort probable qu’il reste de même définitivement.

Ce qui nous amène au second point, les joueurs. Saint2e est entrain de développer un site internet qui permettra aux managers de proposer leurs propres joueurs. Cela va accélérer le processus de sélection des joueurs et améliorer l’efficacité de la sélection. Le site est déjà en phase de test et un lien va être envoyé à tous les managers personnellement. L’Équipe actuelle va subir des changements. Il y a actuellement 39 sélectionnés, alors que le maximum est de 50. Un groupe d’une vingtaine de joueurs vont être retirés pour laisser de la place à d’autres. L’autre vingtaine constituée des meilleurs joueurs restera en place dans Équipe Canada. Le fait de retirer une vingtaine de joueurs est de permettre à ceux qui n’ont pas été observés ou qui n’existaient pas encore, d’avoir une chance d’être sélectionnés. Un joueur qui fait parti du groupe des retirés peut revenir dans Équipe Canada.

I would just like to say that I am loving the level of organization and the huge mangement team you have will be really benefical instead. A team will out do a single person any day. I hope the data base works well and ppl don't mess with it.

Hello Canadian Managers,
This is an exciting time in for Team Canada. Thanks to the diligent and great work of saint2e and my fellow assistant managers, we now have a database where you can submit players. To make sure everyone has a chance to submit players, here is what we are going to do. All managers will have until April 7th to submit their players. Until then (including this weekend's game against the USA), we will carry the 20 players currently on the roster. On (or around) April 7th the management group will look at the players submitted and pick the 20 best players submitted. This would then leave 10 slots open. Due to sports academy pulls and such we feel it would be a good idea to leave a few spots open for mid-season acquisitions.

Before you submit your players, I would like to discuss what would warrant a player submission. Below is a list of ball-park requirements for each position.

Goalie: 100 Goal, 75 Tech, 50 Pass

Defence: 80 Def, 60 Pass, (30 Tech), 40 Agr

Wingers: 80 Off, (60 Shot), 60 Tech, 40 Agr

Centers: 80 Off, (40 Shot), 60 Pass, 40 Tech

This are ball-park numbers. If your player does not have 60 shot as a winger but meets other requirements, do not hesitate to submit. Furthermore, I will also be looking for role players. For example, I will be especially looking for a 2-way line. This includes both wingers and a center with strong defensive capabilities. In addition to this, I will be looking for a couple defencemen that have offensive attributes such as offence and shooting.


Please carefully follow the instructions in regards to submitting players. Due diligence will ensure that this process is as effective as possible at finding Canada's best, and way more efficient. One more important point. Please re-submit players often. This will ensure we have access to the most up-to-date info on your player!

Pour être sûr que tout le monde à la possibilité de soumettre des joueurs, voici ce que nous allons faire. Tous les managers auront jusqu’au 7 avril prochain pour entrer leur joueurs. Ce sont des balises. Si votre joueur n’a pas 60 en tir mais rempli les autres conditions, n’hésitez pas à le soumettre. Je vais également être à la recherche de joueurs particuliers. Par exemple, je vais notamment rechercher à obtenir des lignes optimisées défense et attaque. Des ailiers et centres avec beaucoup de défense d’un côté, et des défenseurs avec de hauts attributs en attaque et tir de l’autre.

Veuillez respecter ces critères pour avoir une base de données efficace et fluide pour permettre à Équipe Canada de trouver ses meilleurs joueurs. Autre point important, un joueur soumis ne se met pas à jour tout seul, veillez à soumettre ce même joueur plusieurs fois dans la saison pour que l’on puisse avoir ses données à jour.
