I saw that too! Definitely a big move. Playoffs should be pretty interesting again this season. Although I think CP is gonna take the cake. He had the best Team Strength in the U.S. the last time I looked.
That's pretty insane since he's not even in Division I.1

Like I said in the new years resolution, I'm a good manager, but a bad coach. If Mojo Express was in league II.1 this season do you think he would have ONE loss on him? I don't think so.
meh. Mojo probably would've been upset a few times. They're called upsets for a reason.
Anyways... I actually think you're a better coach than manager lol. But that's just my own $0.02.

And that's not meant to be mean or anything... but when I see how good your team is, and then see that I've spent ~$340 million more than you on infrastructure improvements (the division I.1 teams are even further ahead of you), it's hard for me to give you that much credit.
With a roster as good as yours, there's no reason that you should be that far behind in your capital improvements. You should probably be top 3-5 in the country in money earned. =/

Honestly, I think he could sell his starting lineup for quite a lot and still be a top team in division II (or alternatively become a top 4 team in league I.1), so the net value of his team isn't quite so bad, though more investment in the arena would be ideal. His players and facilities are good enough to maintain a top quality team for quite a while. Though infrastructure is important, the ultimate goal is to be able to put together a talented team, and he already has that. He just needs to start putting everything into his arena since the money he is missing out on relative to other teams is enough that they could be able to buy a more competitive team over the next 5 seasons, and there are quite a few teams that will already have a maxed out arena within 2 seasons or so.
There's also an increasing risk that his team will stagnate due to high maintenance costs so that his arena will improve more slowly.
I've decided that this will probably be the last season for Layne and Carpenter. I did a few simulations, and Basham and Brown are sufficiently good enough that I could start them and probably remain a playoff team in II.1. If I somehow promote, since I would expect to demote again the next season, I might start a few more younger players. Strapac, Bender, and Simpkins/Mccullough are all still too good to replace, and I especially don't have any wing prospects good enough to start any time soon. I also recently got rid of all my players over 16 who still weren't good enough to start.
his facilities are not bad. HR is a bit behind but overall not bad.
His arena .. awful. he is missing out on big money. I am making almost as much money on tickets than my general. and as you guys know, my general is pretty good.
since he does not have to invest on players (he has one of the best teams in USA if not the best) i dont understand why he is postponing investing on arena for that long.
My arena will be finished next season

I believe I should finish my arena as well in time for next season's media sponsor or at least come really close.
Yeah.... you keep saying that. And I'm sure that you've got something in mind... but I feel like "Day X" (the day where you start to monetize your strategy) needs to happen some time soon. Because moreso than being behind on money (which given your team, you could make up in a heartbeat by selling players on the market), you're falling behind on TIME. TIME is something you can't get back in this game.
Even if you were to become a billionaire overnight, it would still take you a season (or more) for your construction to catch up to other people's (during which time you're still making less money than them). And the longer you wait to construct your arena, the more you fall behind (and consequently, the more money you'll need to make for whatever strategy you have in mind to pay off)...
This is the same thing I talked about with [handball_team=15901]'s strategy a couple of seasons ago. Sure he could sell his players for a good amount of money. But at this point, it'll take a calendar year (or even longer) for his construction upgrades to catch up with his main competitors. I honestly think his team's dead in the water now, and it's only a matter of time before he drops out of division I.1.
Winning and having a great team is important, absolutely... but it's nothing if you can't sustain it. The infrastructure is what helps you sustain it. Otherwise... it's inevitable that you'll end up getting passed by other teams.

I expect my next media sponsorship will be quite close to what my general sponsorship will be. And just like you (and Cataclysm ), I'm going to try to have my arena maxed in time for the end of next season. I should be able to do it easily... because I only need to match this year's arena investment and I expect to have more income coming in next season.
It's funny... when I consider who my competition is, I never look at team strength or team rating. I look at the amount of money they've invested into their arena and facilities. Because of that, I actually think that Cataclysm is my biggest competition in II.1. I push myself to try to stay a step ahead of him moreso than any other team I compete against.
