It's probably a matter of lagging behind with the sports academy. I pulled better players last season, though not until the end of the season. Since the upper limit of the sports academies around the world are higher for a lot of teams, the lower levels are probably worth less.

I think that overall, although A. Stanton and Basham aren't elite players and are my only two players from my sports academy, they are better than the players I drafted and kept.

Most of his unscouted qualities are 70ish except for speed. Maybe your scout evaluated speed much lower.

I would tend to think that pulls are range bound by your own SA level, not by how high your SA compares with other people's SA.

If that were the case, I'd get nothing but 100 OR crap from my hockey and soccer SAs (since there are teams out there with maxed SA facilities, and mine are not very close to maxed).

And besides all that, draftees OR is determined by your SA lvl. So it's very strange to me that all my draftees come in at around 300 OR, while my random pulls come in at 200 OR.

That's not even talking about the fact that I haven't gotten a single "random" pull with qualities better than 2 stars. I mean that's 0 out of like 10 or 12 players. That's pretty ridiculous.

I think it is related to how well you are to others. to how many teams the country has, probably total OTR as some countries with tons of leagues keep pulling super high OR ones.

Well I mean, my SA is 11.5, so I'm pretty sure that no one in the world is more than 1, MAYBE 1.5 levels, ahead of me.

I wouldn't think that would cause me to get nothing but 200 OR crap.

I mean sure, if I were at lvl 5 I could understand it, but 6 consecutive pulls of players that have less than 2 stars and less than 220 OR is just pretty ridiculous. By any measure.

I think that the probability of getting even more elite players increases from 0 as you improve your sports academy, but the probability of getting players of equal or lower probability is higher based on how your sports academy compares - I think this is what canucks357's article a while back seemed to suggest.

The players I drafted haven't had great OR, though I don't think I've drafted an A quality player. Though having a better sports academy and manager should improve the OR of the A player when pulled relative to an A player pulled by a team with weaker facilities and staff, the A players (or "hidden gems" that are basically A's) do seem to start with relatively higher OR, at least based on your pulls.

I very rarely get players with more than 300 OR in hockey. Without my good managers, I would regularly get players with less than 200 OR. Also, though I had level 10 sports academies in soccer and hockey for a while, my sports academy in soccer was much better.

really? I have 4 15 year olds in hockey that are over 300 OR that I pulled from the SA this season (i also have 2 more that are right at 300ish OR that I got from the draft).

I mean granted, my hockey SA is 1 level higher than my handball one, but it's still not "world class" i don't think...?

My sports academy was 10 until very recently. It will not reach 12 for a week, and I upgraded it to 11 this season. I think that the quality of my pulls has decreased over time while I left my sports academy at 10 and put everything into my arena.

hmmm. interesting. maybe there's something to be said for this relativity then.

It's just crazy. There's literally nothing more at the forefront of my mind than these injuries. I'm literally trying to think of anything i can do to mitigate them.

But everything i do is just a wasted effort. It's just annoying because not only are my important guys going down, but they're doing it in spectacular fashion.

Of the injuries to my starters, this is the fourth consecutive time that I've lost one for 12 or more days.

Stanton turned out to have 72 AVQ - mostly qualities of ~70 and 94 for speed.

not bad. I'm happy any time I get anything above 70.
