That's similar to my schedule. My last week of the 1st quarter consists of matchups against all playoff teams as of yesterday. In today's rankings they're ranked #1, #3, #4, #5, and #9. I'm ranked #2 right now... so basically, my next 4 games (I beat number #4 today) are against tough, tough teams.

But on the other hand, it helps with setting up training camps during the season... as I also have a week where 3 of the 4 teams that I play are near the bottom of the standings (2 of which are "+" teams without managers). It's nice because even my scrubby backups can steal a few wins there if I decide to run a training camp.

Definitely sucks if you need to make a late playoff push though, as those are some difficult teams to close the season playing. I'll have to make sure I'm safe at least a week (or maybe 2) before the season ends.

I built up the offensive side first. Now I am working on the defensive side. Remember that passing and blocking helps with defense. So worst case is that you have 3 backs with high passing out there on defense.

Shooting. I am starting to see a difference. Currently I have the 2nd worse Team AOR14, AOR in the league. I am sitting in 5th for s% ,12 for 6m% ( lol does not make an sense ) , 6th for 7m& and 2nd for 9m%. I think that this is the key reason I am not in the bottom 4. My shooting training will continue at its current %'s . I still do not have a single player above 60 in shooting. Closest is my RB with 58 (292OR) I am looking forward to when he has 75+ shooting at the end of the season

On the other hand I could be completely wrong and I will be fighting it out in D2 again.

I have 2 players that are not shooters on my starting offensively line. One is "intentionally" not a shooter: the one that had 10 assists against you today. The other i am behind on training.

I have focused on shooting/blocking more than FiP. And it does not show in the ratings much.

I have 4 50+ shooting (being one 60+) and 4 40+ blocking


Problem on the player i train intentionally to assist insists on shooting!!! I keep yelling at him not shoot and pass the ball!!! I am increasing his shooting. He went 1 of 9 against you.

Its kind of hard to really do an analysis on your shooting until you've at least played against every team in your division one time. With that said, your stats are a little bit all over the place as of right now (sort of like I might've thought).

If im gonna invest in having the best shooting, I want to have the best shooting percentage (or at least close to it). My goaltending rank is some of the best in my division (and the US for that matter) and so far the defensive team stats and save percentages seem to support that. Last time i looked, my save percentages in all 4 main categories (save%, 6m save%, 9m save%, 7m save%) are in the top 3 in my league.

I like seeing consistent results when I make an investment... =/ All I'm saying is that shooting ranking seems to have much less of a direct effect on things.

Nice. So far i have survived this tough schedule.
Against Rowdies it was as hard as I expected. In fact, i thought I was going to lose this match.

My defense was key factor causing them to commit 20 turnovers. The fact Rowdies players had so many 2 min penalties on 2nd half also helped my team to get ahead and win the match.

Nice second half for sure. Well done.

This game has also forced me to finally make a change to my starting lineup. My pivot has been red-carded 3 times in the first 10 games. He's also picked up 12 2-min penalties. The players clearly have hidden qualities that affect their play, and this guy has an overly aggressive demeanor. Gonna have to make a change.

my pivots also have issues with red card or too many 2 min. I think pivots may need more technique than others to avoid too many penalties.

If your pivot's technique isn't at least as high as his aggression, you're gonna see red cards and more penalties. At a minimum, I make it a point to train pivot technique at the same rate as AGR.

If his technique Q is decent (especially if it's better than the AGR Q), I actually train it a little bit higher than AGR.

My starting pivot has only 3 two minute penalties, 0 red cards, and 2 yellow cards in the 7 games he's played.

Nothing sucks the life out of your team in a close game more than TO and penalties. I try my best to minimize both.

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure other things affect penalties and red cards too though. I wouldn't be surprised if everything from different tactics matchups, to play intensity (VL, L, N, H, VH), to speed factor into it.

I mean think about it... if you have a pivot with horrible speed, he's gonna be "reaching" more, because he's not fast enough to get into proper position. High AGR with low Speed is a recipe for disaster in any sport... regardless of how technically sound you are.

What are you basing that on though? The guide says Tec is medium influence, Agr is major.

It says it right there in the description of AGR.

"Aggressiveness: Handball is a tough sport and the field players have to be prepared for that. Aggressiveness is mostly used by pivots who get into contact with the opponent's players most often. A pivot who cannot handle physical play is useless in handball. Wings and backs also need aggressiveness to a certain extent. HOWEVER, IT ALSO HAS A DOWN SIDE. PLAYERS WITH HIGH AGGRESSIVENESS RATING AND POOR TECHNIQUE COMMIT MORE FOULS."

yes... AGR has a high influence on the productivity of pivots... but in very general terms (that apply to all players), if it's much higher than TEC, you'll have more fouls.

It may mean that the Tec ratio is close to Agr and Spe is "almost" irrelevant.

[handball_team=15896] is the first D1 team to lose in the National Cup. Shocking as it is a great team.

Not very shocking. In looking at it, Red Star is a really decent team (26 overall team rating), they played better tactics, and played higher intensity.

National Cup is still gonna be real competitive for the next couple of seasons I think, because the difference between good and very good teams isn't that large yet.

well, not saying the opponent was not good. But shocking whenever a top team leaves earlier the competition. You never know if opponent will burn energy on National Cup...

Rowdies had the best defense (before playing against me) and second best offense on D1. Currently 3rd best defense. That says something.
