on a couple of list, it has me at 18 instead of 22. hmm, still, it's going to take a lot to surpass last season
Very happy with the 0-0 draw. That was really the best I could hope for. I had nothing on offense.

Isn't it. Its only season 3 and we can see a real gap developing. Going to be interesting to see how we all fare by the end of the season.
now if I could figure out how to turn that high end rating into anything other than low end performance!

I'll never go high, but I might run normal on some road games depending upon the competition.

My first thought was jdevils was playing friendlies at the end of last season on High since the new season would reset his energy. But he played his last friendly on Low.
Oh, his starters are probably in Camp. And he's going to run his current line-up into the ground.

Oh yeah. Since I'm in the ChL, I think it would be a brilliant idea if everyone played on Low
Seriously, I'm going to try to play fewer games on Normal this season, but I wanted to do the same thing last season after my streak ended. I probably ended up with 35+ on Normal. I'll be happy if I can get that down to 30=)

The qualification matches just finished up for the europe group. I would think and update would happen by friday. My guess.

Kinda like where my team strength is really looking forward to seeing the real total after injuries and suspensions of some starters are finished.

Ii like the idea of playing low but there are to many teams here that just believe normal all year long is the way to go. I tried to manage my energy last season as best as i could between Chl, league play & NC. Got burned in regular season against to many normals towards the end. I dont think the energy decrease in soccer plays as big a role in outcomes as it does in hockey.

I think the energy loss is still a problem in soccer, but you don't have the playoffs to worry about. You don't need to conserve energy to beat the top teams. There's no 3 game series where a rested team could really take advantage of a tired team. But it's still important to manage it.
Thats not what I saw. I played a person who played 4 games on high and the rest on normal while I played at least 1/2 my season on low and got killed. So no energy isnt factored in to penalizing teams as much as hockey in my opinion. Based on all the info that I can get from soccer I has a higher team rating, players rated higher & I was home.
you could see how much of a jump everyone had when the energy was reset - most people gained 4-5 points overall. It's probably less of a jump last year than this upcoming year, though, because more people would be filtering in new guys from the sports academy that season - people now have more set lineups.
I agree with Leggs, as the seasons progress, energy will become more of a factor because you have less people breaking into the lineup. Its going to get harder and harder to just slot SA players into the lineup.
That being said, I think people will be buying more players from the market this season so it might offset it some.
