Oh, I see. I thought it was for setting up lines too (a'la yahoo fantasy).
Well, big ol' nevermind on that one, Vlady.

Yes, it's for the soccer formation AND subs in soccer.
So, yeah, would be good to see it in hockey

I thought they mentioned that they planned on revamping the line/substitute selections for hockey.
OTR is not taken into account for all star selections. Although I do admit that the all star selection needs some changes.
I could've sworn I heard somewhere that All-Star selections were designed so that strong teams facing weak teams would have a harder time being selected.
that's true, but it doesn't have anything to do with OTR.
Is it based on OTS? What measure of strength are you using?
Positioning in league?
Positioning in league?
If you use strength, how do you account for my game?
Lower beats higher - higher wins all-star.
What's really odd to me is, he supposedly had the best showing in our whole league that day (even though there were 9 other WINNING goalies). Not true by ANY logic I can think of. You must use more than just strength. What other things go into the calculation?

revangst: A lot of it has to do with the popularity of the players. I notice that your goalie Niko is admired, but the opponent Winkler is a superstar. Chances are he is out there making superstar saves.
A friend and I kid about how a superstar-popularity player oft gets the nod for high honour accolades should he only be on the roster - and getting stars even if his contribution was only 1 assist. We would think of the media box conversation:
"Well, we are picking stars! Who shall we pick?"
"Well, look... <superstar> played tonight."
"Oh yeah - he is awesome!"

It really is a flawed system right now.
As it stands right now Wayne Rooney could score a scissor kick goal from 35 yards out over a wall of bodies and some 2-bit player would steal his all star team spot by scoring a lucky goal from 2 yards.
I understand that weaker teams need a chance, but right now it's not accurate or fair on the good players on good teams.

In France, it is many to wonder if the sponsors offers that are clickable links done with a bonus compared to other free links.
For example : for the game racing duel that you a click for go to the game.
I hope you understand my very very bad english, sorry for that :s

I see what you're saying, Temm. But, i think that while that is somewhat applicable in the real world, a computer would have no such bias. A computer would base it's selections on nothing more than logic. Granted, it would use the logic that was programmed into it by humans but, as vlady stated above, that is based just on strength.
Again, this is not something I find to be terribly upsetting but, i also have a fixation on finding the logic (and irrationality) in things.

I agree with Temm. Popularity has to be involved in the selection process. I beat the Force once. In my building. In OT. Of course he dominated the game in every way shape or form. I won 3-2. Korey Buckley was the damn first star. He might have even won Goalie of the Day.
