But even if you get to 1 and you aren't ready to compete there, you'll just be back down in II next season. Been there, done that. I'll go to I when I believe my team is capable of staying there.
I'm still in shock I lost my last game like that, though having both of my players who get a 9 rating doesn't help things.
Look at Big Cigars. Moved up and doing really good. 3 in standings.Same overall as my team. Right now is the time to move. Than the gap will be even bigger.
The shock is that the team who beat you, is in 17 place. He should be a lot higher in standings. Atleast in top 10.
Again - my point is the real gap is managing the team and matches, if you know how to do it you have a leg up BUT if you don't have the players (look at my AVGq in the top of the league vs the league) then you just don't have the horses to compete. Phoenix has an AMAZING number of the top Q players with good career left - he would be the team to worry about in my opinion.
I have a mediocre team at best and with the advent of the auto training my meticulousness has been super-ceded by laziness and setting generic ratios which has reduced the game to a paper rock scissors using a pegboard in my opinion.
When it took some time and effort to train and watch and maintain players I think it really seperated the top teams, now if everyone auto trains the same qs it just comes down to guessing the right tactic and getting good pulls from the SA. Sure there is some wiggle room in the market and with buying and selling low and high but that's about it.

I see your point , but everyone has different strategies. Im aiming for promotion this season. Hopefully all of you will play the rest of the games on low

Made it through to the Cup quarterfinals on penalties. Thought for sure I was going to lose to Baldwin Bombers.
Lol my boy ShevZone beat Toledo on penalties. Im cheering for this guy now. He has the weekest team in the tournament and made it so far.
ShevZone is one of those strange teams that looks weak on paper but is very tough to play. I drew with them at home and lost to them away this season. I do not want to meet them in the Cup.
Personally, I see no reason not to try for promotion. I don't believe for a second that I'm the best team in this league. There are at least 5-7 teams that could easily be ahead of me if it weren't for a few random variables in the game engine. My assumption then is that even if I promote into I.1 and am one of the lower teams in terms of team strength I'd still have more than a chance to avoid relegation. If it happens, whatever, I'll just work on winning in tier II again and move back up for a second attempt.
Not to mention if the season were to end as is, I'd be looking at nearly 40 million in prize money. That coupled with the discounted reduction of OTR would give me an awful lot of money to make me much more competitive in the first tier. Again, I still think there a quite a few teams here who can pass me and knock me out of promotion discussion, but i'll be doing everything I can to deny that.

Umm, wow I hope his actual pots look like this when I finish scouting him.

I bought defender on the market with OR 380 and CL 5/6. AQ was 50 something. When i finished scouted him, his AQ is ectually is 72. Made a good steal on the market.
Agree with you. Seems like we are the only 2 on the same page.
I'm all for promoting too if you can, but I give energy preference to a Cup win over promotion is all.
