First qualifying match for the World Cup, my first ever as U20 Australia manager! We are versing Paraguay, who we are clearly stronger than, so I am hoping for an away win! This would be a great sign for the rest of qualifying!

What a win! Our U20's have kicked off the qualifying season with a 0-3 win over Paraguay U20! Although being favourites, we clearly dominated the entire match and could've easily scored a few more potentially!

A draw was an alright outcome, but considering the statistics, we probably could've won by a goal. Nevertheless, a draw is better than a loss! We are now in 2nd place, but this is basically useless because we play the easier teams first. Also, two interesting things to note: we got a total of 10 corner kicks to their 0, and also every Australian team had a win/draw. All-in-all, a good day for Australian football - the Matildas beat New Zealand 2-0 as well!

Well, at least our PPM Aussie teams are consistent! Hopefully, we will all make the intercontinental/ world cups!
But as you said, we just played the easy teams...
The draw is not bad, but we were better than Venezuela 
This has been a thrilling start to qualifying! With a 1-0 well deserved win over Macedonia, we now have 7 points (we should've really beaten Venezuela), but those were the easier matches and I can unfortunately state that it will get tougher from here... 
Focusing on the positives, it was a great win with our 16 total shots to their 8, DOUBLE THE AMOUNT! There were also a massive 9 yellow cards, with 6 of them being awarded to Australia... you win some, you lose some!

We play a clearly dominant Norway team tonight/tomorrow morning (wherever you are) and I will be playing extremely defensively (any points from the match are highly unexpected). I'm hoping that we can possibly keep them out of the back of the net for 90 minutes to snag a point! Essentially, we have nothing to lose.
