You were not lucky and the red card didn't help you. You didn't receive a goal yesterday, but your goalkeeper appears too weak. Don't you have a better goalkeeper? Maybe it would have helped against Denmark.

Yep - our goalkeepers are weak - been are archillies heal this season... Got a good 18yr old coming through who has now caught up with the 20yr olds, but skill wise are goalie is 2 seasons behind where we need them.

Results from last night - Australia U20 wins 1-0 over Switzerland in a boil over, whilst Bosnia win 1-0 over Denmark too in a double boil over.... So I had to google FIFA rules as we finished equal 2nd in the group.
Group points -> both finished on 4 points
Goal difference -> both finished with GD=0
Greatest number of goals score -> well Australia U20 has scored 2, and Bosnia 1
...... So I think that means we have made it into the PPM challenge Div C finals.

I see. The capital problem that there are only few team and few players in Australia. You have only 31 soccer team.
The majority of those 31 have logged in once, will never log in again and in a month will have been replaced by another batch of teams doing the same thing.
Most new players are coming from just a handful of teams with another handful of active teams working their way up to that point but not quite there yet.
We have been stronger in the past so the senior national team has a reasonable pool to draw from but the younger teams are finding it increasingly difficult.

Yes, the new ones stop the game very soon. This is problem in my country too.
The tactics was good again, but the opponent was a little stronger in midfield and in the attack unfortunately. I'm sorry.

Well done to the team and their general manager, BronteFlynn, on an excellent result in the PPM Football Challenge Cup. Israel were a formidable opponent and deserved to go on to the semi-finals, but well done on making it to the quarter-finals (even if only just). The Australia national team looks to have a bright future with these successful young Australian players and I am excited to the results in seasons to come!

As reported the U20 team did get further than it ever has... First time out of a PPM Challenge group stage. Which was surprising as we have struggled in certain positions this season.
Next season we will be better and am confident of better results.... Can we make up enough ground to qualify for World Cup... I hope so.... So the aim is to pick the team early and gain chemistry through the friendly rounds next season - we have to win every match we should win so come on luck!!! We definitely had it in PPM Challenge this season!

I know its the first day of the season and all, but when do election candidates for the U20 and U17 teams begin? I would like to see how I progress this season and maybe become a candidate myself for one of these Australian national teams.
The U20 and U17 captains will remain if that's what you voted. There will only be choice if you don't want to keep them.
