Yeah. I have no idea what happened last season. I thought I was pretty safe, so I just tuned hockey out thinking I would survive. I was kinda shocked to see that I was in the bottom 4 with one or two games left. Oops!
And then I felt bad all season being down here and screwing you guys out of promotion/titles. I never should have been here.
But I'll take the trophies

What? Me? No way. Hmm, maybe so. A bunch of teams in I.1 burned a lot more energy than I did. I'd be surprised if I was anywhere close to the top 5 once energy resets.
True. Regardless, you should be able to compete for a playoff spot at least. I DOUBT YOU WILL RELEGATE UNLESS YOU COMPLETELY IGNORE YOUR TEAM AND oh god caps lock was on but I don't want to delete it and retype it. But yeah, you should be good.
WHY IS IT... My Basketball team after 276 days gets 6,985,714 from my general sponsor in League 3...
AND my Hockey team at League 2 and 330 days gets ONLY 3,953,699???
I had to put all of my Staff on the market and I will have to put nearly a quarter of my team on it, because I DO NOT MAKE ENOUGH TO PAY FOR THEM!!!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE.... IT SUCKS,but also all I get is $400,000 (sometimes only once a week) with 2000 seats in ticket sales from my hockey team, and $602,000 in ticket sales from my basketball team daily with 1,500 seats...
HOW CAN I COMPETE, in HOCKEY THIS WAY???
I have to cut $2,500,000 a week from my budget...

Your basketball team has nearly 100 higher OTR (the second number from the left under the team strength numbers on your team's page). This plays a large role in determining sponsors. It is determined by how often you win. It falls a fixed amount for everyone every season (less if you promote to a level for the first time). Even so, bad OTR from a previous season will affect it's level in future seasons.
In basketball, you have a top division III team while in hockey you currently have a relatively weak division II team. You can try to upgrade your roster if you want to compete in division II and can find bargains on the market. You could also consider demoting to division III in hockey so it is easier to win without buying players (even if they are cheap to buy, the salaries of veteran players can still add up).
You also have a better HRE facility in basketball.
Staff do not help very much until the levels of your facilities get much better, maybe as much as 10. Staff can also get incredibly expensive. Even if you had a better sponsor, getting rid of your staff for now is probably a very good idea.
As for ticket sales, ticket prices are fixed in hockey and adjustable in basketball, though only up to 300 per seat.
Basketball seasons are also shorter, so your basketball team is 4 seasons old while your hockey team is about 3 seasons old.
Generally, for sponsors, in addition to improving OTR, the HRE and arena are most important. A media sponsor from a completed arena will be equal to or better than a general sponsor, in addition to the VIP sponsors and ticket sales from your arena. Staff and maintenance costs are the major expenses, though you can keep those down early on.

Thanks for the information... I have cut staff and all unnecessary players that were scratches, leaving a small core few... I am also trying to get back into level 3, where my team was actually competitive, if not finishing in the top 4 teams at that level, consistently
haha my goalie played well. i was just shock to see that i won. i'm trying to avoid relegation and you are actually a title contender...
I wish. The Brewers will walk away with it this season. The rest of us will be left fighting for their scraps.
Has anyone noticed how comical the all-star (weekly and season long) awards are? The 10th place team has basically the entire season long all star team
