What's your ratio of games you expected to win and won to games you expected to win and lost? Go back all the way to when you started playing tabulate that number and then ask yourself if you're still surprised.

If you seek an answer to why you lost any particular game that will give you the answer to how you can win any particular game... you sure you want that answer?

It cracks me up that people think something must be wrong with the game when they lose.

Mickey- the teams you are losing to, almost all on the road... are between about 25-28 overall team strength, while you are a 30 team strength. I think your working from the faulty premise that you are much better than these teams... you're not. Generally, those team strengths are practically identical. If you were a 150 team strength and were losing to 25 strength teams, then you'd have something to complain about.

The other issue is that if you are the team with the best ratings in your series, all surprises are unpleasant ones. You can't really be pleasantly surprised. In a small way you could go, "oh, I won 9-0 when I only expected to win 4-0" but that hardly balances out those cases where you say "oh, I expected to win 4-0 but I lost 3-2, crap!"

It sucks when you're on the losing end of that last type, and I know because it has happened to me this season, but I do like that upsets exist. Even major upsets.

The goalie playing on his head is a deffinite, but the fact that the dominate team only mustered 22 shots?!? Why play a counter-tactic when you're the dominate team is where I am confused - people get so caught up in playing the smarter counter-tactic when theyre clearly the superior team. Play one of your strengths and walk all over them, let the weenie team worry about the counter-tactic.

The site is great and I'm checking it regularly. But I'm not sure about your "busted myth". You know, the site analysed thousands of matches, played by hundreds of teams, all with their own composition of players. In such an analysis differences in composition are levelled and ignored. Only the observed things stand out as averages: tactics-countertactics, S+/G- or O+/D- and such. In fact, I'm quite certain that this paragraph from the guide is not a "busted myth" at all.

If your team is better than the other team in every single category - wouldn't you have the confidence in your team to play a tactic (any in that scenario) that they are stronger in - then to play a tactic that is an attempt to beat the other teams tactic? You should be able to play anything except defensive and have a clear cut advantage - play offensive etc to overwhelm them. I would almost like to believe that when youre such a dominant force, and you're still trying to eke out all the advantages that the engine would punish you for being a sissy.

I understand that most (or all) mathematical equation's don't factor in fear but it's a hope.

I'd play the tactic that my team is stronger in, but there's no such tactic, every tactic is the same, except the situation when you or your opponent set right counter-tactic...otherwise tactics are not that important

and this is not my opinion, this was confirmed by devs on one of the PPM meetings (of course unofficially)

Now you are talking
