How are the All-Stars for the day calculated?

Because my player had 6 points in today's game but didn't get a star, whereas some other bot team player got the star for getting 3 or 4 points.

I'm just curious as to what the factors are. This isn't the first time this has happened.

It has a lot to do with who you are playing. For example 5 points against a noname won't mean as much as 2 goals and +3 with 5 shots against a close rival in the standings.

True. But the all-stars were two nonames vs. each other. That's why I'm confused
