Seems to me that the deals have too much weight on final ranking and less on the league. This is based on an extremely small sample size.
Then take the higher of the two numbers, anything but the current system
Let me be blunt and I realize you are the messenger so none of this is directed at you, I'm only passing the message to you.
The current system is flawed and broken. I will be punished financially for an entire season because I chose to do stadium upgrades on Tuesday instead of Thursday. That is wrong.
The example of "future capacity" fails because I could get my contract, then do the season long upgrades thus creating the same "unfair situation" that is supposedly trying to be avoided.
I may not be a programmer, but I am a problem solver. My boss comes to me not to be told something can't be done, but to be told that I will find a way to get it done. The appearance here is that the developers, instead of trying to fix something clearly broken and trying to find a way to make it work that is fair to all, have chosen to say they just don't want to bother with it. Its their game and that's their right. My right is then to choose to no longer financially support that attitude. And at this point I will use my currently purchased credits but will purchase no more.

Why should the system be broken? You HAVE to plan your actions. If you choose to upgrade your arena during the time of the new contracts, you get less money. Period. What's the matter?

I agree with theeagle. There is no broken system, there is only guide that have been left unread
It clearly states that tv-sponsor is affected by arena capacity. I felt the pain when I started constructing new stand as I knew it will affect my upcoming tv-sponsor deal. But there is a tradeoff if you want to get better deals later. It´s all about planning as theeagle said.

agreed. I dont understand why some poeple think this is "broken". It is the way it is and everybody has to adapt to the same conditions. Thanks for support there.
I agree 100%. It's up to us to adapt to what's been given to us. Sometimes it is a good idea to question the system so things can be looked at again (ex. salaries) but the majority of the time it's just people on the boards either complaining about things they don't understand or wanting their cake and eating it too.
I agree with theeagle. Another way to solve the "problem" as a problem solver is to better plan your actions. don't say it cant be done, but find a way within the constraints of the game.

Please tell me where in the guide it says "Don't do upgrades the last week or you will lose money" Please tell me where it says anywhere that your offer will be based solely on your current capacity regardless of prior capacity or future capacity. Unless its been added recently its not in there. You want to talk about planning? I did plan. I planned for quite a while exactly when I was going to do my upgrades. But I didn't take into account that the programming was so flawed it could only recognize 900 instead of 900 + 1000. Or the 1700 i carried all season long.
@santar
I click on the link to the guide multiple times daily, so thank you very much for implicating that I don't.
Its nice that you all can be so flippant, but if you were in my shoes you would feel the exact same way.
The system is broken because it is the only case where an entire year is based on 3 days. If I build my academy in the middle of a training camp, all training doesn't suddenly go to zero. If I start HR the last week it doesn't make my offers lower. And so on.
I was perfectly willing to accept that the mistake was made and learn for the future. But I am unwilling to accept the attitude being presented by those in charge. Whats sad is that the responses here have managed to turn me from a person singing the praises of this game and trying to recruit new people to someone who absolutely will no longer support this game financially. I am officially a customer lost.

Well I disagree with theeagle and I disagree with you. I have no issue with what is done. I have never asked that my deal be altered. I have asked that they fix it for the future.
@Bizzy
when have I have I ever been the complainer? This is the 2nd time I've ever brought an issue to the forfront, the other being the suddenly strong noname teams a couple seasons back.

I guess the guide has been updated to make it clearer.
"Warning! The offers from TV companies reflect only the current arena capacity. The sectors under construction are not taken into account."
"Warning! The offers from TV companies reflect only the current arena capacity. The sectors under construction are not taken into account."
Didn't respond to you and didn't mean you. It's a collective. The majority of the people on these boards ask questions that have already been answered plenty of times and complain when they don't like the answer or it doesn't help them. It was a general statement.
I don´t want to be rude any kind, just to point out theres no real "problem" here. I know I would be upset too, if I had lost sponsor money because of not knowing things. TBH I did the same "mistake" at the end of the last season
But to make things a bit clearer what I meant, here we go.
Im referring to the guide:
"The amount of money you get from the TV company is influenced mainly by: the final ranking in the recently ended season, the overall team rating, the level of the human resources and economic department and the capacity of the arena."
The sentence after that maybe has been put there later so I´m not putting it here (which makes this even clearer). If you start building a stand, it´s obviously out of use. So you can´t say this "out of use" stands adds to your arena capacity, yes? 900 (+1000) arena capacity is 900, however you look at it. There is no "capacity" in "out of use" space. 900 is 900. And there is no direct statement that says "Don't do upgrades the last week or you will lose money". And there can´t be. If you take that path, you need to do the same thing in every single thing in this game. And that´s just too much work. I think the guide is very good, it doesn´t STRAIGHT tell you what to do, it just gives you frame and guidelines where you can work in. It leaves little for interpretation, but thats part of the game, isn´t it? You just need to do some 1+1=? calculations there
If there is a rule in the game, obviously it is meant to be followed? It has been decided to be this way, so you just need to adapt your tactics taking into account the rule given. If you question rule like this, you can question any rule in the game same way. So again, there is nothing "broken", you just need to live within the rules given to you.
But I see your point that to make things better, you need to question things time to time. But in this case there is nothing wrong. It may have been done other way, but it´s done this way. And you need to accept it (even though your own point of view may seem better to you).

I figure I better make one last post on this issue and say my final words before the next wave comes in and it gets going again. But there are some things that have to be spelled out so that it doesn't all start again.
1. I originally brought up this issue on Tuesday. Through Trueblue e-mailing the devs we were able to find out the answer.
2. While I was less than pleased I at no time demanded my current deal or offer be changed. I accepted it as a lesson learned and even posted it as such in a couple threads to make sure others did not make the same mistake.
3. At this point I considered the issue dead. I knew the devs had no intent of changing it and it was best to move on.
4. Trublue got an offer that was lower than last year for the simple reason of having seats being built and was unhappy and posted it. Seeing people not understanding his issue I re-entered the debate to clarify what the issue was.
5. Vlady's statement rekindled the fire and I made my less than happy statement. If it was not clear then it should be clear now. The reason I am most upset is that between the e-mails and the messages on here, it was apparent that things wouldn't be changed not because the current system is not broken, but because it would be too much work to change it. I find that an unacceptable attitude.
6. At this point others not realizing the entire history of the discussion chose to jump in and be flippant and/or condescending. As well as making judgments on my position without even knowing what it was. Furthermore all of them need to understand that my position is valid and respect that whether they agree with me or not.
7. I stand by my statement that I will no longer support this game financially as long as the attitude from devs appears to be that if things are too much work its not worth the effort.
8. I apologize if I have offended anyone. Please remember this wasn't personal. But I will stick up for myself and others when i feel it necessary.
