You get +1 chem for each game a player plays and -1 chem for every game he sits out. Thus playing only league games means playing 3 games a week out of 7 which is +3 and -4 = -1.
Right but I have an extra "starter" per position just in case, I also have some higher OR players that I keep around as a B lineup.
I am talking long term when players ages start to get high up - you will have so many players in the high OR ranges that the small OR players won't get any PT in A or B games. Right now it's not a very useful feature I agree.
As far as you being a prick, if you say so
I was just being a smartass as well.

It all has a randomness factor. The higher level your Sports Academy, the higher the players Overall Rating is. In theory. But in the end it all comes down to a degree of randomness. Since it would become impossible to crack the top leagues if they all drafted up Noah Tierney -esq players. All the while your drafting up Wade Belaks!
There is just no way that you are right, canucks357. My players gain chemistry and they play just 3 games a week.
It sounds to me, opivy, like you're a pack-rat. Release those older high OR players that you can't get any playing time onto the market where they can be purchased by a GM who will give them the opportunity to play.
Actually I had to buy some guys to get a lineup together and field a team during camp. I like to run lean - but when the game gets into the 8th, 9th season - there will have to be something else to keep people occupied.
They will gain each day. But lose days they aren't in the lineup. "Chemistry increases with every game the player plays and it decreases with every game the player misses." So at the end of the week they'll be -1 from the start of the week if they only play 3 games.
True, but if I recall correctly, like everything friendly, the chemistry gain/loss is reduced greatly.
No I'm pretty sure league or friendly chem is the same. Exp is different for sure.
I have to disagree, my starter and backup (i switched them earlier this season) have 88 and 8 chem respectively, and neither has played a friendly in a year or two.
My 3rd goalie has played every friendly (4 games vs 3) and only has a chem of 1

You do have to remember cup games take the competitive games from 3 to 4 a week. Also, playoffs are more then just 3 games a week.
Right, i know that. But I haven't been in a cup or in the playoffs for a few weeks now, by your math playing 4 games a week my 3rd goalie should be well above 1
I'm not so sure backups get chem if they don't play. But I see what you're saying. All I'm saying is that is my understanding. Perhaps you are right... chemistry is less of an improvement with friendlies. But in soccer I added new players and they're at 2 chem already and only played one friendly... but that's soccer haha. 2 chem makes no more sense then 0 chem after 1 game.
