FlyingHeadz bought a player for $126 million. Highest ever transfer recorded for a team in this league? I'm thinkin' it's near the top.
yesss is the highest i thinks i am the second with a player of 80 million last season
My highest purchase is <40M in hockey and the same in soccer. Highest sales are 80M in hockey and 70M in soccer. However, I've seen players in hockey go for 350M but always to elite I.1 teams. Here in Canada, most div2 teams don't spend more than 20-30M on a player. ariba is notorious for investing in players and not facilities. It made him a powerhouse early but he dropped off the charts in seasons 4+.
It begs the question... how much can one player be worth?

Whatever the free market decides!
My most expensive hockey player was 4M and soccer 10M

Haha I hear ya. What I mean is, will they ever earn you back that 100+M investment?
That brings up a question this noob has been pondering. Do you value a large stadium? Will it really generate all that money I sink into it back. Personally I've been torn and now that I'm up with the "big boys" I feel like my facilities have been somewhat stunted in growth because of it. My team is still young and my players are lacking so that adds a whole new twist to it all. Do I train my sports academy pulls or just play the market. But yet another thing that takes money. Frustrating game at times.
Don't invest a lot early. The payout is when you can fill it, and as a young team that won't happen.
Just keep in mind that the size of your arena influences ticket sales and media sponsorship.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it takes time to recover your investment. You do not want to be renovating and then demolishing sections every season.

After my current construction my stadium will have about a 2,500 capacity. With the whooping I've been taking lately I think my choice has been made for me. I've got to devlop my young players. I have a serious lack of knowledge on what I need to train for a particular position. Do you guys know of any good "quick reference" guides on what I should be training my guys in?
Wow. My highest purchase was 2.75M and my highest sale was 23M.
126 ... I can't even comprehend that.

Strangest game: my 1st line rating over my oppenents was double - goalie double, 2nd 25% higher, 3rd, 4th same....played vlow, low, mid - he played mid - lost 2:0 - that happens, but...he basically outplayed me by alot in the first and second period (strange) - the effort has never made that big of difference, has this changed???
I noticed this too. I upset Calgary Patches 6-0 with me playing on normal and him on vlow. No way I should have blown him out like that. I have also noticed that home ice advantage is huge!
Home ice is huge, and tactics matter, but it seems like importance really plays a part this year. Then... things like this happen. hockey.powerplaymanager.c... I had a guy hurt right before the game, so I had to stick a 60-40-40 guy in 3rd line. Was at home even, and played the correct tactics. But, the fact he had played low to my normal for the first, and very low the rest seemed to be the difference, as he scored 6 in the first...
I've given up 5 goals in my last 8 league games, scored 46, and Yannick Myers hasn't given up a goal in his last 5 games... I'd say things are rolling along quite nicely. Tight race at the top, as always, 1-5 separated by only 5 points.
