You're only 5 points behind 8th place and your OTR is pretty similar to the next 6 teams above you. I don't think you're out of the race yet.
OTR means nothing to me, just who got luckier or who played weaker opponents, OTS is where you compare teams, because if OTR was the rating system id be top 5 in Canada.
correction it does mean something to me, it fills the seats!
Yup. And I'm 12th in OTS. Clearly a playoff underdog and one with points to make up. I feel like the Leafs last season.
I'll probably know whether I'm taking a run or rebuilding by the 5th of August. That will likely be the day that my players hit the market.
I went 15-1-22 last season, now I'm 15-1-5, and I only made one addition. I think you just need to train a different build, but then again, to be competitive in II.3, it seems you have to have a base build of around 180-90-90 (if you're going by 2-1-1)
That's the problem. I have only a few players that meet the 180-90-90 threshold.
I think I overachieved last season. Came back to Earth this season and now realistically, thinking that I need to restructure for next.

I can see how that would be a problem. I don't have a single player on my top 3 lines below that threshold. If I ran 4 lines I think I'd only have a problem with Defense being below that.
Oh, random, you played me twice in friendlies about a month ago. You were playing reserve squads, weren't you?
Yeah - to get there, I'd need to go on a shopping spree. That's an expensive short-term solution that may or may not work out.
The other option is to sell off some of my older players who are closer to that threshold and make some money to speed up the development of the youngsters. Unfortunately, the way the SA has been, the question is: what youngsters? Cupboard is basically bare.

Can I gauge some interest? Who is interested in Joe Parlour , Jason Jacques , or Branislav Chára ?
Can I get some estimated values?

Twig, you talking to me? If yes, then yes. I have a whole roster that I use for friendlies and don't see any of my league games, unless there is an injury. Only common player may be a C and my Goalies.
Re: PMullings:
Yeah, I wouldn't go on a big shopping spree, I did a whole sale and youth thing a couple seasons ago and it is starting to pay off. 95% of my roster is under 19 years old.
However, I would put more emphasis on training and regeneration than SA. I find the SA to be more luck based. Also, SA doesn't affect qualities, but instead only OVR of players being pulled.

I've been getting around 180-230 OR players from a level 9 SA... is this the way it is, I mean, what pulls do you guys get, and what level are your SA's?
I downgraded mine, but I'd get 300-350 OR players with my SA and staff.
