Nice come-from-behind third period win in the ChL. Onto the next round!

This isn't a boast, we are close to dropping to 4 teams from 6 and since I'm the only team that qualified for playoffs out of ChL or CWC from Canada, the win will help our changes at having 2 extra teams next season between CWC and ChL.

Despite being a relatively high seed, I drew a pretty tough match-up this next round. We should have enough to keep 6 teams next year, but it may be close.

With the end of the regular season today, it is time for a little wrap-up. As expected, wins were few this season. However, I am satisfied because, despite my team not being of caliber to contend with the first division, major stwps were taken this ssn which will be stepping stones to eventually come back here. A new 2500 seats section and the lvl 15 HR department will be ready in time for the sponsorship offers which should provide stable OR improved finances despite the relegation. And, I have still finished ahead of Spartiates: which has it's importance to me because we both started playing this game on the same day (2012-06-16), were in the same league in div. 3 and competed in the finals against each other one season later (which I won). Finally, we both reached division I at the same time (were I finished ahead). Him and I have very different strategies to building a club: he always went for the market with players with strong OR while I always favoured building my infrastructures. After this initial win in div 3, he predictably became the much stronger team over the course of a few seasons as I decided to take a step back in order to go forward faster (sold my best players to invest in my infrastructures again).

Now the long term approach is starting to pay off as my facilities and arena are close to being maxed off. His best players are declining. I believe the tipping point has been reached where I will no longer compare our teams. But it was a nice rivalry... even though I am not sure he was even aware of this rivalry haha. Now my focus switches to the top teams: how can I contend with them. I see the market is too weak or too expensive. I need to develop my youngsters, maintain a decent/good team while I wait for my best youngsters to reach their potential and eventually I will be back in division I to seriously contend this time around.

It was a blast of a season with the big boys. I'll be back
