Improve your team and come up to I.1. At least here we have Cancuks to entertain us...
If I wasn't on my phone I'd link some random funny shit here...
I'm getting there slowly. Just building up my arena while I develop my young guys. Aiming for Div 2 in next 4 seasons.
building up arena is a great idea, but i wouldn't bother developing you g players until you get lvl 15 tf. you'll have to replace them again once you build lvl 15 tf, so you might as well spend that money on prospects for veterans who can help you win games. winning games would raise your otr, and thus raise your weekly sponsor. the end result is: you have more money, your team is currently more competitive, your prospects are just as good, and you have the same arena
I agree that they will need to be replaced. My new crop of young guys will replace these young guys in the next few seasons. My TF is my next upgrade after more seats. I already finish high every season with many wins. Not really pushing for DIV II until TF is 15 and I have my new seating capacity. I don't want to be a middling DIV II team for long so I have to prepare for success before I get there. Wouldn't spending money on players take away from my ability to really BUILD my franchise?
Problem is that your looking at buying players as spending (aka slowing growth) but what you should be looking at is how to save money. By the time all your youngsters reach their max they will barely be able to compete in div 2. The whole time your spending on their salary. Let's say your average youngster costs 1k per day and you have 20 of them.
that's 20k per day and 2.4mil per year(this number will grow as they grow).
Now to train these youngsters you are employing expensive staff. I'm gonna guess and say your staff costs 500k per day. That's 56mil per season.
Here's a better plan, sell off all of your rookies, get rid of the majority of your staff (marketing is the only one that might still be worth to keep but not if their salary is too high) and buy older players who have basically reached their max (no training needed) cheap on the market. Let's say you spend 30mil per season on veterans, your still saving 30mil per season and your team just got a lot better which means higher OTR and more money from sponsors

spending more money on players would not take your ability to really build your franchise because it's easy to find decent veterans (II and III league level) for very cheap. it would slow you down slightly, but i believe the return (more wins and more income) will pay for your modest investment in your following seasons and even speed up building your franchise. if you don't mind telling me your weekly income, i could find you some examples of cheap veterans
For the 4th season in a row the Raccoons are playing against Montreal Sasquatch in PO. So Montreal-Boston-esque

I was really hoping you could take 5th from Strippers so I wouldn't have to play him... AGAIN. At least this time I have home ice.
Still burning up energy in the CWC. If I win on Thursday, TMO might have to sacrifice the I.1 playoffs for the big trophy.
Don't think anyone from North America has ever claimed it in hockey. May the force be with you sir.
