Hey everyone,
Just got started in ppm about a month ago. Welcome to the other new managers that joined in this league. I'm from PA and noticed that there are several others listed as from there. I live in the Allentown area. Rumor is that the Flyers minor league team the Phantoms are supposed to move here. Hoping for it.

Just found the league forum. New to PPM, but already getting quite a thrill out of it. Can't wait till I can start buying some players on the market. Look forward to meeting you all on the ice!

Don't be in a huge rush to buy players on the market. At least try to keep your purchases small enough that you have revenue to build your facilities. Its very impirtant that you make progress on facilities because in the long run they are required to be successful.

Yeah build before you buy for sure, you're wasting money on players if they don't do much, experience and chemistry are really important so if you keep buying guys and selling guys you're going to be in trouble.
Yeah that's what I've been told already, but a decent goalie would do wonders methinks....
Either way some of my players have lots of potential, just gotta be patient and cultivate it. Unfortunately my goalies aren't those players, at least not by there unscouted AVQ. How much can one expect the quality ratings to change after a player has been scouted?

At your level? Quite a bit. Scout them first for sure, but yes patience is for sure a virtue in this game, as you build things up you'll learn and you'll slowly start to see improvement.
Alright thanks for the headsup. On a similar note, does the scouting work incrementally or is it simply a yes/no thing? I.E. if I have a player at 24% scouted, do I know anything more about him than I did before I began scouting him? Or will it stay the same until the scouting gets to 100%?
