Thats what i did this season and plan to do next season. I almost didn't spend any money on players.
This season I build training facility level 12. Now started to build 13.
Increased regeneration facility from 10 to11.
Academy from 8 to 10.
Also my Triple-floor multifunctional will be ready in time for next season.

Finally got a decent player, going to see how he looks scouted but was 4 stars across board, fairly good quality everywhere. Could be a good center/winger, but he's universal (and I need more young wingers) so i'll probably go that route
So far my centers always shine the brightest. I love a good winger but I get just as many goals from my centers with less shooting ability so it's confusing.
yeah, he will be hard pressed to make my center depth chart (I have 4 good centers that are fairly young and good CL) while my wings are hurting. And being universal I can move him around side to side and fill holes.
Well, looks like I am back joining the ranks next season!
figured as much your goalie is better than mine but i figured their was a reason i was outshooting you by that much. it was my shooting that saved me for once because my goalies getting like 85%SV wasnt the reason i won.
Hey My D-men are plain tired. Didn't get very many shoots for playing Offense so I coudn't take advantage of your Goalie. Good luck in the next round.
Manager with OR 92 and Marketing of 68 was sold for 8.5M. Im in total shock...
Dang, I hate when the end of regular season + start of playoffs falls over the Christmas - New Years period cause I end up being mostly afk only able to briefly check in and miss the best part of the season. At least I got a pair of 4 star pulls for a present from Santa. 
I'm pretty, surprised how 7-9 places ended up, tough break Outsider626. GGs to ngrover and CoachHoskins for our playoff series so far.
