Lossing one strong team to be replaced by a strong team. Looks like next season is going to be tough. Two strong teams from I.1 coming down and for sure 4 to 5 good teams coming up for III.
I would also like to point out my center is bossing it in goal for the 3rd period over the last two games
i got a defender in goal in my friendlies with 19 goal and i think hes only given up 1 per game today was one goal on like 17 shots from a team with ratings in the 90s i just put him in for chemistry hah
lol that's awesome. I have three goalies, and I sent my #1 and 3 to camp, so I still have my backup in for these friendlies fortunately.
I'll be up here again for another season after surviving the relegation games, but fighting to stay up crippled the energy levels of my players.
Seeing solid teams promoting does not bode well for me.

energy resets at the end of the season regulation games should always be played balls out unless you need to go back down to reorganize and reload
Oh I know, my team's still relatively new compared to the the rest of the teams in this league as I started midway through season 5. It was all I could do this season to try and steal points from you top guys and compete against the other comparable teams in order to stay alive and out of the relegation zone. By the end of the season I had burned far more energy than I had in previous seasons but any less would have had me dropping back to the third tier.
I was hoping I could conserve more energy next season but with a new group of strong teams promoting up that's not likely to be an option.

My honest advice to everyone: get a strong goalie, who's at least 4/6 in career, at least 280/140/140 in attributes, and has 60+ qualities in everything (preferably 70+ in terms of goaltending), and get him early in the season. If getting him later, make sure his energy is like 98+. Mix him in slowly, then play him midseason when he still has 98 energy and other goalies have dropped to 95 or lower already. Oh, and train shooting. :>
There appear to be four such goalies on the market right now, with three of them being 19 and 5/6 in CL.
I am probably the pickiest buyer in the history of this game, so we'll see if they meet my own standards.
Cannot wait to see this league in Season 9. I feel like it might be the most competitive league in the US.
