Asunto: defense formation 4-2 question

when to use 4-2 / 5-1 / 6-0
I have no idea, I use 4-2 in 1st half today and lost a lot, while I change it to 5-1 in second half, and manage to draw to match,

what is the timing to use those formation ?

Depends how the opposition is attacking (shooting preference)
