I think it's kinda funny how people are fighting over running the handball Nation Team(s) whereas it usually take some convincing to get an experienced manager to sign up at the last minute for most of the other sport's National Teams .

that reminds me once i was messaging a bunch of people trying to convince then to run for NT. dont recall if it was soccer or hockey and nobody wanted. you will probably remember that as you were one of the ones i messaged

First of all, I didnt buy credits for 400 $, but before I moved my friend benjaminn and I made our own mini cycling game. We had quite a bit succes, and I made something like 1500 credits. I did buy 1400 credits once, but it was before they made them more expensive..and its not like I used all of them for only my benefit. I think youre forgeting who paid for the whole US graphic kit.

About the cheating thing... when basketball was started I made an extra account and bought a 305 OR player for 3.2m which was actually a reasonable price. GM took 5m away from me. I dont complain, because it was stupid what I did so I got punished pretty bad. They didnt give me a pass or anything, thats just how it works. You cheat, they block you, you either admit it or not, and then they punish you and unblock you...

This is so true. I'm soccer U20 manager. I won the election with almost no opposition and was in one of my first seasons coming back to PPM. I have been looking and asking managers to be my assistant for a season and a half and I have gotten nobody. Looking at everyone go after handball NT manager is surprising. Though I agree once basketball NT comes, all the desperate candidates will diffuse over there.

Honestly. I think you and bulls have it wrong though (just based on what I've seen/heard).

I don't think there's a ton of managers that really "want" to manage the team.

1) Bulls4ever
Bulls has said many times that he doesn't really want to do it forever. I get the impression he's trying to get everything set so that another manager can take over. I also get the impression that the reason he ran for the 2nd season in a row last season (and will continue to run as long as outsider and wasupnerd are running against him) was because of personal reasons.

2) Lanky522
While I assisted this season, I haven't expressed a desire to run the Senior NT anywhere in the forums (or anywhere else).

3) Camrawrn
Camrawrn threw his name in the hat for the current election, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he did that to give people an option other than Bulls or the Outsider/WasUpNerd ticket.

The ongoing drama between Bulls and Outsider has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths, and WasUpNerd admitting to cheating hopefully won't help him*.

* I do give WasUpNerd some credit for owning up to the cheating. That takes some courage. But that doesn't change the fact that he tried to play outside the rules in order to gain an advantage (which still leaves a really bad taste in my mouth).

4) Outsider and WasUpNerd
Outsider is going to have his hands rather full next season in the Cup Winner's Cup and Champions League though, so I imagine that's why he's said he'll assist WasUpNerd. I don't think he actually wants to run the national team this season.

WasUpNerd likes buying expensive/highly skilled players on the market. So I could understand how managing a team of the best players in the country could appeal to him.

In the end, I'd say WasUpNerd is really the only one who may "want" to run the team at this point.

I think bulls is more just blocking outsider and wasupnerd from running it, and Camrawrn is playing a mediator sort of role (giving people a third option away from all of the prior drama).

I do agree though that whether it's basketball or just time passing, we'll find that handball reverts to where hockey and soccer are at. It could actually be worse than those sports though. Handball has about 1/3 less U.S. managers than all the other sports... so i'd imagine that by season 7 or so, we'll be scraping through the forums trying to get people interested in managing the handball NTs.

I've thought the same thing since all of it started.

It's exciting to some because it's still a relatively new sport in PPM, but basketball will probably indeed take over in a season (has anyone seriously started to scout for potential starters yet?).

I do not want to run forever. that is true. Do I want to run next season? Absolutely, specially after a great season.

Personal reasons against Outsider ... well .. I'd say personal reason against anyone that is not truly interested in the growth of USA. Why vote in people who are constantly going to other countries trying to be manager? If they really want to help, USA soccer and hockey are often in need of Managers. there is always need for scouting help. Have one seen either offering help to Caps when he asks? Outsider wont even import his own players to the database. Asked for people to import their 15yo. Matthew King is not imported.

I can name several people Id support at any given time due to their history on helping USA. Those are the ones I support and associate with.

Actually I don't. I don't run for NT manager position just because I have a big ego like somebody here.
