okay, I just figured this out, never looked at OTR gains before (just glanced)

My team [hockey_team=11510] (#2 in league) 384.11 OTR beats [hockey_team=11509] (#1 in league) 357.76 OTR by 4-3

and I gain +2.69 of GTR


[hockey_team=20730] (#17 in league) 192.97 OTR loses to [hockey_team=20746] (#4 in league) 388.93 by 3-4

and they gained +2.72 of GTR

Seems to be a bit random. like on a lot of other places also...

if you compare my rating with HDT, there's hardly a difference, both win, I have tougher opponent (higher rating), though his team was on camp, but nevermind that

he wins same score, on the road, weaker team, lower rating, he gains more rating than me

why ? because it seems to me it's solely based upon your own rating

now imagine that weaker team beating HDT, they would only gain rating based on their own OTR

is this fair ?

I've also noticed this fluctuation in OTR, and it made me curious...

I'm also a programmer. I'm sure there are bugs in ppm code, as they are in every code, even mine.
I have pointed out two bugs in hoceky lately. Even more, I have pointed out exact errors in algorithms, that were responded with "We will look into it". Nothing happened since.The bug for arena maintenance costs remains and I'm certain that academy players salaries bug is still there also. Theye are quite easy to fix, but it seems that nobody has even "looked into it" and that bothers me.
About match calculations: I don't wan't to complain about my matches and results. I had some major dissapointments and I had my share of luck also. It should be so, but I'm affarid it's just happening too often. In my opinion the main problem for this is in too much randomness in shot efficiency/goaltending.
There are ways to equlize luck some more, even if each shot is calculated on it's own, as it should be.

you sound surprised by the lack of attention. You've been playing this game long enough to realize the way things are here. It's a good and bad game with a take it or leave it approach to being run. Enjoy it or not the way it is will be the way it is... I gave up long ago trying to suggest things or point out problems as they always meet the same type of response if any.

Someone lost their game and wanted to whine about it. Usual stuff about how "OMG I can't lose the program must be wrong."

what you guys think about shooting skill? it looks like it is useless if you look at my team. its better to train forwards without shooting to gain more attack stars than train your shooting. last 2 season i got very low shooting comprasion to attack, now i got shooting only 14 stars lower and i loose everyone who i face in my league. wanted to know your toughts about your experience with shooting skill.

The shooting attribute, from what i understand is part of the calculation in shots on goal. Higher shooting = more shots, and therefore more chances at scoring. I have been training primarily shooting on 90% of my players for the last 6 weeks and have a vast improvement in my shots on goal, goals and win%.

i dont know what shooting efects but it isn't shoots on goal for sure. i got couple of games where im slight better at shooting but oponent has 80+ attack and they outshoot me.

Att, Pas, Tec and Agr gives you more shots. Shooting doesn't give you more shots, it makes better chance to score.

Are you sure? I remember once it was written in FAQ that maximum value is 655 but now FAQ says:
"Player attributes are unlimited and can grow infinitely."
