and also the 3rd ist not explainable... the thing with allstars in game and also with league allstars is really unlogic and almost bad made...
actually I imagine its perfectly logical as thats all a computer can understand.
One thing I've learned about all-stars is that your opponent matters. scoring 3 goals against a much weaker opponent is not as good as someone scoring 2 on an equal opponent.
As far as the stars 1 and 2 make perfect sense. You could make an argument they should be switched but without reading the play by play its hard to say. Both have 2 points and maybe his assist was worth more than the 2nd goal. You know, a situation where he does all the work, but someone else got the goal. As far as the 3rd star, once again you could make a case for the guy with 2 assists, but what if both of those were 2nd assists and he really didnt do much for the play. That would make the guy scoring the goal more valuable.

I think that game importance doesn't have such influence because here is a game which I've won with 4:0 against strong opponent: hockey.powerplaymanager.c... player of the match has 0 points
and here is the game against lot weaker opponent: hockey.powerplaymanager.c... where players got themselves nice 6 points....

I don't want to hear any more answers
Your's is the best.

haralds goal was the game winner, dont know engine know this
Isn't the 5th goal game winning (4 goals from opponent)? I'm guessing, but I would really like to know the criteria for this.
I don't agree. It's not ok for a team with high or (like mine) that I have almost no chance to get a player into as team of round. It needs a win like this one of today to make this true.
if the calculation would also take a view to to ranking AND to strength of lineup it would be much better, I'm sure.
I have defenders with +3 stats today, but the elected 2 defenders both have only 0 (but 3 scoring points). and I beated the 2nd ranked team, the other team beated the 19th team... sorry, this is not logical!

On the other hand, if a player manages to get 3 points and a 0 +/- stat, than he really saved his line.
IMO the current system (that takes into account the goals scored and the total points brought to team as prime criteria for electing the stars) is indeed fair enough.
Getting a player into the all stars team of the round is an all different talk. I have some difficulty understanding the combined criteria that resume this election.

It appears from my point of view the difference in OTR is a prime factor influencing all star selections. Likely wieghted simillar to attendence in the game engine. As you all know the guide/Vlady covered most of this. For the last season and a 1/2 no question OTR spread or lack there of is a huge factor IMHO.
ok, you are at least a bit right... it might be a point of view what is fair and what not. but at all, it's better for a team with lower OR. and this is a point for all teams with smaller OR.
