Yeah, Oct 2. So a 157 improvement for Craig. That puts him 15th out of 51.
There are a lot of competent managers running in this election. My backing will go to whomever can best open up the team to new ideas.
For example, to date, we've seen GMs picking teams largely on their own. I'd like to see a selection committee to open up discussion about the team's direction.

Vote for me, I'll open a selection committee.
Don't like selection committees? Then I won't open it.
Ok... selection committees for some, miniature Canadian flags for others.

Simpsons references are a plus in my books. Keep them coming.
Whatcha mean selection commitee? I havent voted yet so, still trying to look for whos best, even though I am new Id like to see Canada win

I'll be a realist... Canada won't win.
Canada getting as far as we did is great. I'd vote for salty again if I could.
Anyone who tells you that they will make sure Canada wins is being political (a.k.a. lying out their arse).

haha, alright alright, this will be my first season here so I am clueless, hopefully my stay here will be good though and in the future could help out with anything to help my country

13 out of my 40 guys drop CL... Still no 3/6 guys on the Saints, but next season that will change I'm sure.
alright, to start off.. THANK ALL OF YOU who voted for me, and believed in me! this has been a real pleasure to manage season 8's team canada. it was A LOT more work than i initially anticipated, but it was still FUN. i am so thankful for the opportunity i got
i am glad and relieved that i did not let most of you down in terms of the finish. in my opinion, 5th was a decent finish. we can blame on the energy for the no medal finish, but i assume other countries were in similar situations and it was me who picked the worst tactic possible. even then, i think we finished stronger than what other countries expected!
few mistakes that i want to go back and fix are:
1. picking prospects. half of the prospects definitely deserve the spot on the team, but as the season went on... it turns out that the other half? not so much. managers from various countries kept on emailing me potential players for the team, and about 3-5 of them were in fact in better shape than the players that we currently have. i should have kept the spots open instead
2. not being as active on the forum like themightyoil was last season. blames are on me as well for this. to be honest, my life outside of ppm has been quite busy for the first bit of being a team canada gm with high school graduation, final exams, and such. after that, i was literally home less than i was outside, hanging out with my friends, during summer. this is evident based on my hockey team's finish this season. i basically gave up 6 wins at least due to mismanaged game planning and lack of preparations. towards the end, i was in university, trying to figure out how to live on my own for the first time, so that also did not allow me with much time. fortunately, the results were not reflective on how active i've been!
3. interactions with managers. i definitely could've talked to more managers. i did not.. again, i was busy
4. french. i am not bilingual, and i wish i were. i am learning french, but.. it's not great. if i were able to communicate in french, i think we might have had a stronger season
few things i'm glad i did:
1. picking some new players while keeping the core. some of team canada's veterans are not improving as fast as they used to, and there are rising stars. i believe that i added some of them, and allowed them to gain some chemistry on the team
2. insisting managers to train shooting and technique. the later.. i didn't insist much, but the first, i believe that it helped us to see those win on the games that we were not expecting during the wch
i will not be running for the season 9 for the following reasons:
1. i am content with the finish, and i have no intentions of ruining the joy next season
2. maybe season 11 i might? but for now.. i really don't have time
once again, it's been a great joy for me. thank you all so much!

I think you did a phenomenal job and if I get elected I'm sure I'll come begging you for advice.
