Zero keepers season two. Only kept one backup and one third stringer.

I kept 1 starter and 1 backup. Still, season one I have 5 starters, 1 average goalie, a backup, and sold 2 players for ok money. I liked season 1 much better than 2.

Hopefully I will get to see you guys In II.2 in a couple weeks. III.2 has went from bad to worse over the course of the season. My tier 4 league was better than this one.

This league doesn't have many, if any talkers. But the competition is pretty good though. Come on up!

You've had the benefit of an amazing Academy pull. Probably one of the best teams in the US.

...that and I know nothing about handball which makes it hard to actually pretend this is anything beyond a numbers simulator. At least hockey and soccer I can imagine what my players are doing on the ice/field with all these attributes.

Anyway, yeah, we had what, four of the last eight in the National Cup, including the final two? I think our talent level is on par with I.1. It's too bad we can't promote more than two, because I bet our top 4 at least could be competitive up there.

Yeah, and you're doing it. If I could get some good goalies, I'd be more competitive.

Yeah, I got two lucky pulls at the end of last season for two awesome goalies. I wish I could claim some brilliant skill or insight propelled me to this spot, but really I've just gotten a couple good pulls and I've kept up the facilities needed to train them right.

Yeah, I'm trying to train mine like yours. Using the same training attribute. Not sure if I'm accurate but figured if I have to grow my scrubs, yours would be the way to go.

Ha! I have no idea what I'm doing (aside from experience with the other sims on PPM, I guess), but I'm honored to have my strategy modeled.

It does seem like there's a lot of interesting options in terms of training specialized players that aren't just on the strict ratios that most managers seems to use in soccer and hockey....setting guys up to be effective in playing the fast break, in defending against teams that over-use the fast break, to fit in well with the various defensive formations, etc. Maybe when my facilities get better I'll work on training specialists to exploit particular matchups, but right now I'm still focused on just getting well-rounded players which can be effective in any situation. To be honest, though, I'm not sure how long I'll stick with the sport since I just don't know the it very well.

I think the thing this sport has over the others is the tons of games, the battle to remain out of the regulation round and then the battle to remain up. You truly have to go into each season with a strategy on energy and player usage. Every team is affected by this. 6 good teams in I.1 are fighting it out for 7th and 8th spot. Do they push for that spot or do they save energy to finish top 3 in the regulation round and then battle 2nd place finisher from the lower leagues. This actually keeps the season interesting for many more teams. I really hope they keep with a system like this for basketball. The more available movement of teams the better.

I probably could have pushed for the playoffs, but I decided to save energy and play on very low at about the 2/3 point. My team is still probably at least as good as most of the other teams in I.1 despite my bad luck this season and poor energy management to start the seaosn.

For my team, I've been working on training defensive and offensive specialists. I haven't gotten to the point where all of my defensive specialists are good enough to start or where the specializations are substantial enough to be noticeable, but I hope the strategy will pay dividends in 1 or 2 more seasons.

Well I look at your team strength progression and see it moving up, compared to my flat lining so I figured you're on to something. Same here, I got into handball in the near beginning but because I don't understand it as much, makes it rougher for me to learn or care to learn. I like my hockey team, it's fairly simple but still requires me to have some strategy.

defensive and offensive "only" specialists will be vulnerable to fast breaks. I specialize players only if either shooting or block quality is too low.

I agree w/ tescosamoa that w/ so many games it is a challenge how to use/conserve energy. One advantage of having off/def specialists is that more players are in each match and it does save on energy.

The playoffs in this league will be interesting. Any number of teams can win. Should be fun.
